Retro console and games thread

Have you disabled the lockout chip on it? Very easy to do and helps with finikey games.

Some very nice games in that collection. Boxed mega man 2 and Zelda will fetch a pretty penny :-)

Yeah lockout chip disabled but still hit and miss, but its better than not working at all. Hopefully the new 72pin connector will arrive soon so I can get it up and running properly.

yes yes yes yes!! Look what I won on the bay :D

Wow - very nice. Brings back memories. I remember buying that in 1992 and it cost a lot of money. Something like £25 - 30 from a small independent retailer.

In then remember reading the recommendation to back-up the disks and thinking 'but I don't have enough!....'

For sure, it's hard to get the game at that price even on the bay, i've seen it go for as high as 35-40+. Thankfully it ended at 9.15am which is early for ebayers :p

Absolutely, I can imagine it holds it's value, even on PC. Great game.

I'm waiting till tomorrow on the bay as there are two games that I have my eye on, I'll let you know how I get on. Sufficed to say I'll be ***** off if I don't win ;p

Today's charity shop finds, bit supprised about the Wii Keyboard didnt know such a thing existed

None of my local charity shops have anything in at all sadly. The local market guy sells some retro, not a massive amount but he had a boxed model 1 megadrive, GameGear, Sega Saturn and Amiga 1200 in yesterday. It is always nice to browse in the flesh rather than trawling through eBay.

I'm sure "Pff paid too much" comes to mind :)
