Retro console and games thread

More Postman goodies, not exactly retro but Under Defeat is a Dreamcast remake and Akai Katana is retro in terms of style and gameplay.

Both bought from new and sealed from GameSeek, who didn't exactly rush to dispatch them (more or a less a full week). But the price compared to eBay new or used was too good not to be worth waiting for.

Great pickups - I have both of those, along with deathsmiles and DDP Resurrection. I really want to get Ketsui on the PS3...(goes off looking up prices) :D

Thanks.

Akai was less than £12 delivered and Under Defeat £15, could see me getting them much cheaper and you don't exactly see them outside of eBay or online shops.

Got Death Smiles on the way also and on the look out for DoDonpachi Resurection. I think there's a few import shmups on Xbox 360 that are region free. So I'll be looking to add those if the price is right.

Cool.

I think I've got Mobile Light Force (I believe that's what Shikigami is called outside of Japan?) on PS1, I thought I had the PS2 game as well but it's not listed Retro Collect so maybe I don't.

Open dispute under not as describe. If they accept they will have to pay return the item you'll get a full refund including postage costs. If they ignore the disput you'll get a full refund and keep the item. If the argue the toss, you will win because you can't loose a "not as described" dispute.

It's just ball ache for you.

I've got to return Folklore for PS3 today because seller said it was very good condition, which means the manual must be included. It wasn't so it's going back. Won't cost me a penny.

It's the only downside to buying from eBay used. Most seller describe everything as very good and mint condition. When in reality most stuff is in very average condition.

Hope you get it sorted soon

My Wind Waker copy turned up today off ebay, massive scratch on the disc... does not read :(

Listing said disc was in perfect condition not impressed.

Swines!!

I had a "mint" sonic cd come years ago with a cracked case, missing manual and scratched disk. Guy genuinely ddnt get the problem until ebay got involved

I'd say that of the last 10 games I've bought from eBay, only one truly matched the description.

A couple of them refunded and told me to keep the game, they are usually the eBay shops who are selling loads of games a day at a very low price. It just isn't worth the cost of them paying to get them back.

I always list games as acceptable, which is eBay's lowest condition category, even if it really is mint or very good condition.

Mate just sold me a silver game cube for a tenner!

Time to crank out the zelda series after getting too annoyed my old one would forget the time and die after an hour of being on.

Is the composite worth it on a cube?

Best you can get out of an unmodified PAL GameCube and PAL games is RGB Scart.

Even if you spent the ridiculous amount of money the digital AV cable costs, I believe that PAL games are locked out of taking advantage of it.

But RGB Scart does look very nice on a CRT TV.

Yeah I filed a dispute as soon as I could, not had a response yet. Looks like I'm going to get the silent treatment.
