Retro console and games thread

i was just thinking about Scart to HDMI

and i googled it, and came to a youtube video from "Adam Koralik"
he swears a bit, so i cant post a link, but what he was saying is that, he bought this scart to HDMI upscale box thing and he hes very sceptical that its going to work, so unboxes it, and puts the Saturn onto it, and he says its much much better than the Scart to Component that he was using and far superior to the old CRT TVs and explains why

The video is titled "Gamerade - Best Video Quality With Old Game Consoles - SCART to HDMI - Adam Koralik"

just thought id post this, and yes im aware of the "frameister" but this thing is a lot lot cheaper!

Informative video, thanks and have subbed to him, seems to know his stuff! Weird that the US never got SCART! Didnt know that but im not expert on that side of things. I imagine thats common knowledge :D

hmm so my TV does not support 480i through HDMI, was going to buy a PS2 to HDMI adaptor

so the next best thing is a PS3 component cable (using on a PS2) ?

What cable (or shop) can you recommend i get it from ?

Yep, that's what I did. Plenty of cables on eBay which will do the job. I had a cheap 3rd party one which did the job perfectly.

A 32X is definitely on my wanted list.

I've just got a one to add to my collection, I know I'll very rarely use it but wanted one to add to my Sega CD.

I wouldn't mind a Mult-Mega, Mega Jet and a Nomad as well, but they cost a but much for me at the moment. Game Gear will likely be next Sega item I go for.

Thanks guys, watched the video and that's the conclusion i came to malachi
component for PS2/ps3, than buying another console

Saw your wanted post in the MM.

Amazon.com have the Sony one for around $30 and $15 for the Monster

or the UK site has the Monster version for £27
