Retro console and games thread

Would this be a good buy for £20? I did want silent hill 2

Just picked it up, I don't think it's a bad price. Silent hill looks to be worth around £8-10 and I've always wanted to play it

Only downside is the memory card is a ps1 card but would need one any way for ps1 games I assume?

Console works fine nice and quiet, fairly clean too! Controller could use a bit of TLC, any cleaning tips? Feels a bit.. used which is understandable

I shall ditch the fifas, battlefield, ghost recon and conflict zone (whatever that is!)

There was also a loose disc in one of the cases, just a snooker game again something I can do without. I guess £2 for that lot all in should be expected!

Can't really expect to get it any cheaper. There comes a point where it's just not worth selling otherwise.

If you still want the RGB cable drop me a trust message. I've probably got a spare PS 2 memory card too.

Indeed, it was a local eBay listing at auction, I just messaged the seller and asked how much they wanted for it and I'll come get it. £20 seemed really fair tbh

Also open to more ps2 game suggestions! I have a basket on CEX and like you suggested may aswell grab 10 under the postage umbrella!

Metal Arms Glitch In The System
Kim Possible
R Type Final

Don't forget quite a few PS2 exclusives were released on the PS3 as HD remakes. So some of the trilogies can be cheaper to buy on PS3 than three separate games on PS2, with the benefit of higher resolutions and better frame rates (Shadow of the Colossus in particular)

 
Haven't posted in a while but here is our latest pickup really pleased with it, stand out game is pocky & rocky 2 really pleased with that.

Been busy picking n64 games again, $8 for harvest moon 64 jpn being the coolest one!

However I'm fed up with the passport for the 64 and thinking about an nstc console, is us or jpn easier to mod to play their other region?

It is essentially the same thing, just a different sized piece of plastic to cut out of the cartridge slot, or just swap the back of the carts if you don't want to cut the slot tabs out ;)
 
Temporarily DESTROYED my game room yesterday (if I can call it that)

Decided we would switch the room with the nursery to give us more room for the baby and it is much better, however. His old room was a lot smaller though tbh I quite like that, may be easier to fill with game crap :D

At this point though the baby room is lovely, and I just dumped everything else in my new room lol so it's a disgrace at this point
