I still regret not picking one up when I had the chance. It was worth it purely for metal slug.

Metal slug on the NGP was awful. Worst one ever. 2 words - health bar

You could change this setting to 1 hit then your dead if you wanted the same for metal slug 2

And the system still has the best pocket streetfighter game Capcom VS SNK

Mmmmmm... PC Engines are the lovely stuff. If you never played one, you missed out :< ( IMO ). The handheld size comparison pics above made me realize quite how many handhelds i have, and theres a few (broke ones) that didn't make the final line up!

The TurboExpress is the winner as far as size goes, I think its bigger than the gamegear. Just about.

The only retrobit of kit I have left is this:-

Mark 1 Atari Lynx,Takes 6 AA batteries and they didn't last long, was the size of a small child and the same weight too.

California games was ace, and the lynx had the option to flip the screen for left handed folk. When they first were released cost a fair bit too.

This thread has given me the urge to browse ebay for an old white PC engine, think it's the only console I never owned when I was younger and I fancy a bit of near arcade perfect Chase HQ.

The PC Engine was absolutely amazing for an 8-bit machine, SF2 Championship Edition was superb. Parodius et al were great too! :D
