Probably I imagine because it was something like 14400 Baud and had pings of 100ms or so. :o

Intellivision! Used to love playing on Astrosmash and Armour Battle when I was a kid!

Not got one of these but some people might be interested and have never seen it before:

The resdesigned SNES which I think was only released in the US.

Also, want another reason why Sega did so badly? HiSaturn Navi

If you have a look on the net there are hundreds of retro inventions you never knew about aren't there! And it's also intersting to read about the systems and adds on that never saw the light of day.

This just turned up today:-

1 Jap Megadrive 1
1 Megadrive 2
14 games
2 control pads
all the leads

Cost me £12 from ebay, the condition of them both isn't particularly mint, but they work, next stop gamestation for some games (got toki coming as i type this).

Bargain if I do say so myself.

why would you want a mega drive and a megadrive 2?
one is jap and will play anything with out the need for a converter (tho there is no region protection just the cart shapes i filed the slot on my uk spec one to play jap games)
however the megadrives displayed text in there native regions language irrespective of the carts origion eg my uk games showed jap chars in my freinds jap drive.
the megadrive 2 for engish text, the jap drive 1 for shear sexiness!

Check what crazy words a jap megadrive has round the ring, not my pic ofcos, sold mine ages ago, with much regret. was MINT.... Impossible to find something like that again.

AV intelligent terminal? HIGH GRADE multipurpose use?
The 16-BIT logo is also totally different to the western versions, and is vastly nicer i reckon, looks a lot more future than what we got.

I got a Dreamcast coming, I got it off Ebay, So when I have it I will be straight down Gamestation, Cant wait I used to love my old one, Shouldnt of sold it really. Oh looking at the Atari 2600 can anybody remember the Atari 7800? I used to have one when I was a kid.

Well, I managed to finally get some crappy camphone pictures of some of my retro set up - its nothing special but its constantly growing ;) Got a good library of games building up too!
