Retro console and games thread

I reckon you'll be better off selling some of the games separately maybe, cut the postage down and the MD might sell for a bit more.

Mega drive games I found hardly sell on eBay , they cost more to post then they are worth, I am just going to collect Nintendo stuff now , seem to be allot more desirable

snes was more cool and ever man and his dog has a mega drive in the attic :p

the game by and large dont fetch too much

i got a job lot off ebay once 66 mega drives (a lot of jap ones aswell ) and 100 games for 60 quid :D was a house clearance bloke he said ebay was a waste of his time :p

May I ask what on earth you did with 66 Mega Drives Dg?!?!?! as that is an impressive haul :).

I need to take some pics of my Mega Drive games, have the lot sat in a box under my rafters in the loft.

Thought I'd share a few pics of my steadily growing GBA SP collection.

Thought I'd struck gold here, but seems the seller is more interested in how far I'd have to drive, a journey of Rochdale to B'ham to collect. I knew this prior to bidding, But communication seems to have ceased.

No willingness to arrange a time or day that can suit us both. The final message was I should've checked prior to bidding, but why should I when it was a strict collection only deal.

Sucks

:/

Just a thought for anyone with a Mega Drive...

May I make a suggestion for connecting it up.. Get yourself one of these :)

They make it look that little better and its much easier to find the program and get the thing working :D
I have 4 or 5 Mega Drives with various add on's (32X or Mega CD or both!) and I use this and it makes it look so much better!! :)

Jaymond, if you have paid for the item and have said about collecting it, surely it wouldn't matter at all as long as you turn up??

In my last job I came across a stash of Dreamcast parts. The company who owned them went into liquidation and I had the task of sorting the stock. They must have repaired then because there was a machine specific to assembling parts for them.

I managed to get a hold of some of it. Unfortunately, some of the parts to build a complete unit were missing (controller PCB, top part of the casing and some internal metal shielding). The parts I have are:

7 x Controller
4 x Laser Unit
2 x Mainboard
2 x Internal Transformer
3 x Bottom half of case
4 x Flip-up lid
8 x Dial-up modem
11 x Coaxial AV Lead

All these parts are new and official.

Also have 3 complete Dreamcasts (1 x New in box, 1 x New with no parts, 1 x Used test unit).

I've had it all for years and was thinking of selling some of the more valuable parts though I'm not sure if it'll be worth the hassle for a couple of quid.

I cannot pay *yet* because we haven't ironed out the details, I do think the seller wants to let it go to someone else...

Not sure why or if he's been offered more by someone else, as he didn't even invoice me, his initial worry was the distance I'd have to travel, it's not his problem

I think I've lost this one :(
