Keep going bud, I'm 6 months smoke free. Totally worth it, stay strong and spend whatever you like on nostalgia gaming :D

Looking for a new place to buy from to help with my SP addiction, ideally Japenese (selling worldwide though). Do they have anything like ebay there? I know ebay didn't catch on in Japan, but there must be some online outlet for their used consoles!

Can anyone help?

I'm going to be heading into Manchester on Monday and i've been told there is a retro gaming shop in 'Aflecks Palace' so i'm thinking of paying a visit to it.

Has anyone here ever been there? If so how did you find it? Was there a good selection of games/systems? Was every thing reasonably priced?

Been a while ago, seemed to have a good selection. Pricewise you'll get games cheaper on the net and at car boot sales.

Just won this, building my Pc engine collection up again, Duo RX, Original White Pc Engine plus loads of games. Find it cheaper to buy from Japan.

Seem to be getting more expensive this year.

Is there anywhere still that even sells retrogames been to loads of car boots and keep coming up with nothing. I went to a cashconvertors today as I seem to remember them stocking a ton of them but it has been 12 years since I last went in one of those and alas nothing just modern stuff. Also have tried all the charity shops too. I have been watching gamechasers on YouTube a bit recently and they seem to have tons of places to buy from over in the states. At the minute been buying a bit off eBay but what may seem good value at the time isn't once you factor in the postage, thinking I may have to go on a gamechasing holiday of my own to the states.

I'm so tempted to by a Neo Geo AES or a Consolized MVS. The CMVS looks the best choice for game prices but trying to find someone making and selling them is near to impossible. Unless you buy the wooden one from Analog Interactive which is insanely over priced at £400 for the machine but it you want the arcade stick you have to pay another £200. Crazy I could get a full size arcade MVS cab with a four slots motherboard for less than that. I'd buy one if for the fact it would be impossible to get one in my apartment.

Then there's the AES where you buy the console but can't afford any games apart from maybe the common ones like Fatal Fury etc. I do hear there's an adaptor to play some MVS games on the AES which could be handy for those more expensive games like the Metal Slug series.

What to do what to do...........

Go with the Cab:)

You know whatever you do it'll cost... im thinking the cost of building alterations (enabling you to get it inside) 'could' be cheaper in the long run....:)

If at all posible ofcourse, heh...

I speak from experience from getting my first pinball table in to the back room:)

Good luck anyhow, you're wallets gona need it, anything involved with the system has allways cost top dollar... even the cd system costs these days:/

I've been suggested to take the supergun rout with the Neo Geo MVS. So far I've bought a Neo Geo MVS 2 slot motherboard which I'll hopefully get next week now I need the supergun. This is so exciting :D

I'm off for two days (hospital appt in 45 minutes for gastro and endoscopy) and I literally couldnt find anything to play on either my PC, PS3 or 360, so I dug my old gamecube controller out and played Resident Evil Remake on the wii from start to finish and havent enjoyed playing a game so much in ages.

Update on my Neo Geo Endeavor.

My Supergun MKIV as come through the post. The two slot motherboard as issues so the seller told me he'll send me a four slot Neo Geo motherboard in replace of it. I've bought an old PSU from a pentium 4 computer has I hear some older arcade games need a -5Volt which you don't get on new PSUs.

I recently was the highest bidder on a Neo Geo AES arcade stick and just a few minutes ago I bought an original copy of Metal Slug for the Neo Geo MVS.

Hopefully everything will get here and no one robs me.

Cool thing is if I ever get the space I could pop that four slot in an arcade cab but until then I'll make do with the supergun.

The Supergun will allow me to play any arcade PCB too so I'm not limited to Neo Geo games. Ooo Double Dragon. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I'm gonna try make many of my dreams come true now. :D
