Retro console and games thread

I watched a neo geo Aes with two games two pads boxed go for £170 this morning , bidding was at £100 last night and I put a few bids but gave up and it sold this morning. I think the guy who listed it messed up because the only way it came up in a search was by searching "SNK neo geo ace"

That is a really low price for one of them. I've got a couple a bargains from searching out odd descriptions and spelling errors. I sometimes use fatfingers to do a search. Anyone had any luck with another site?

Ah this brings back memories.

I had over the years.
Atari 2600
Spectrum 48k
Spectrum +2
Commodore 64
Amiga

Cannon fodder was amazing on it.

Got this

I really like this lightgun, I have another that I got when they first came out, so got this to go with it.

Only problem is the recoil only goes on trigger pull, so when playing crisis zone, where you have a machine gun, it only goes off once, rather than constant.

There is a logic 3 gun that seems quite common on ebay where the recoil is constant when holding the trigger, so I'm going to get one of them as well as they are not expensive :).

Got the Logic 3 one today.

Not bad for £7.50. This one is G-con2 and G-con compatible, has both the controller port plug and usb and a switch to change modes. Means I can play the odd game that was G-con2 only. Recoil will keep going, when the gun is on auto, rather than just once when you pull trigger, which is nice for Crisis zone, although it can get a little annoying. Has a laser site as well, but that's kinda cheating and it reflects off the screen anyway.

Recoil is not as nice as the other one, but the other one is much bigger and heavier. The recoil on that is provided by a 12V solenoid and a heavy metal slide, the plastic is just a cover, this one doesn't really have much weight to it.

Size difference

Still nice enough to use though and for £7.50, it will do fine for the G-con 2 games :).
