nice !!!!!!!

What's a "Mattel" NES ?

I never did own a NES, seen that Kung Fu game though, but never played it, is that Kung Fu Master ? love that game in the Arcades, did they do it for the SNES ?

It's just an early model. The first PAL NES consoles were distributed by Mattel and say 'Mattel Version' on the cartridge bay door. They're not worth any more, or do anything different but it's nice to have. The only difference I know of is the plastic is a different texture and supposedly better quality (whatever that means? maybe that they're less prone to yellowing).

@phatboy Wasn't sure where to order from as I saw a good few, but this was by far the cheapest price that included everything I needed to run it.

Hopefully flashback are good, have you ordered with 'em before? Just have to wait for the 4th April now :(

Gentlemen.....The reproductions have arrived!!!

Stickers are HORRIFIC lol. Here is hoping the games work. Will get pics and if I can a video up later :)

Well they both work spot on. Good picture / sound and no issue booting up :)

Only had a quick moment once got kids to sleep so will try and have a proper play later in week

Not too worried about labels as uk company does quality reprints for 2 quid delivered

I ordered an EverDrive flash cart as well as a couple of reproductions.

The flash cart has arrived, ordered on Thursday evening last week and came today. Which is amazing when you consider Friday and Monday were bank holidays in the UK.

Works perfectly so far.

The SD card full of ROMs is a bit hit and miss with what works. It doesn't help that my Mega Drive has been region modded and changes between PAL, NSTC and J-NSTC when you hold the reset button down. So I have to select the appropriate ROM for the region my console is set too. Some of the ROMs just don't work but that's the same with most "complete" sets. Apparently the ROMs that have been verified have in the title and that seems to follow what works and what doesn't.

On as side note, I've hooked up my Mega Drive to a Yamaha RX V375 5.1 AV receiver via the AV outs on the Mega CD. I have to say Streets of Rage II and MUSHA never sounded so good.

Another MVS game for me all the way from Italy! If anyone is into MVS/Arcade games then head over to the Jamma + forums, the prices are way better than eBay and most sellers are based in the EU.
