what you interested in buying?
for future reference, when i ask a question like that your reply SHOULD be...."no mate,in fact anyone that's ever come into contact with me had to pay more than list price"
my bank manager actually had a heart murmor when i read the above.

How about a nice family car...ford mondeo 4wd cossie?! Standard yb power to 700+ bhp engine specs available?!
i put an Escort RS2000 mk2 with Cossie power together a few years ago with a friend.with this in mind i've been thinking about doing something a little more modern.i've had an investment that i'd forgotten about come in and as it's technically free money i've been pondering what to do with it.
dropping a YB into an A4 Quattro or 3 series beemer would be relatively easy compared with cutting up something like a Focus to fit RWD/4WD.
the A4 idea is appealing to me at the moment although i think the BMW would be the cheapest car to build.

Just out of interest as I know you are a big fan of cossies like me if you could spec your own dream cossie what would the spec be?
tough question mate...very tough question.
while i would love an immaculate big fin with five tonnes under the bonnet, for sheer hooligan effect you have to go Escort.
if i was paying for it, and we're talking road car use, i'd want something that would last at least 25-30k miles between rebuilds....as much power as possible without the engine turning into a racer ie starts first time every time, totally tractable, smooth delivery and capable of behaving if it were stuck in a traffic jam for an hour.
i'd want to throw as much power at the chassis as possible WITHOUT the need for a cage.i've always preferred the MS90 7 speed but this sequential box Martin has gone for has me very curious.HUGE brakes are another fave of mine even to the point of overkill.
and last but not least...Anti-Lag.
i've never driven a car with one of these fitted, but going by some of the vids i've seen posted OMG it make the car look like it's been flung from a catapult.when not in use do these systems affect the engine at all? or do they only do something when switched on?
