Ideal to make rice for 1 - 3 people. Once it's cooked it keeps it warm to use when you're ready.

lol, this looks pretty much identical to the VonShef one I purchased recently. It is ok, but the missus and I were struggling to get the cup/water ratio right. We've got that sorted now, though this results in water bubbling through the top vent a little.

This one comes with a measuring cup and lines in the cooker. Very easy to use.

My method is.

Was 1 cup of rice.
Leave to soak for 30 minutes.
Add rice and 1.5 cups of water to pan, lid on.
Bring to the boil and turn off.
Leave for 45 minutes.

Perfect rice every time. Because it's not on the heat for long zero chance of overcooked rice.
Its important to use a tight fitting lid and not to touch it for the whole time.

I batch cook egg fried rice by the KG and whilst a cooker will do the job just as well (providing you buy a decent one as @Raymond Lin suggested) I like the results of pan made more, most likely just because that's how my mom would make it as apposed to any real textural differences.

following what to do with eggs thread, have recently become an aficiando of fried rice with added peas, meats, it's a good way to use lower quality/older eggs
not sure what the KG is, but, a rice cooker wouldn't enable you to sweat onions or combine eggs, which you only want to do as you are about to eat it ?
you wouldn't reheat fried rice - perhaps I misunderstand.

Apologies, should have been clearer in my initial post. By KG I meant Kilogram, as in I batch cook plain rice 2 or 3 Kilos at a time. As you said, It wouldn't be authentic or particularly nice if you where to combine all the ingredients in the cooker or saucepan with the uncooked rice. This is done seperately.
