you're looking at the new listing i mentioned earlier i guess, the old listing keeps poping back up for sale then going back to unavailable. I would post a link but in this case i think they are seen as a competitor since OCUK are official sellers also.


I wonder if when the price goes back up after the sale that the 500 one on there will be the new full price?
 
tbh i would rather give them my money aswell but i cant pre-order in the shop (or you never used to be able to atleast) and call me weird but i cant be bothered to sign up for an account just to pre-order a rift. I never bothered to open one as i'm in stoke and always just gone to the shop to get stuff + now i'm only 5-10 minutes or so away now they are at cross heath, although i've been shopping there for years.

I have this funny feeling the big river will cancel my order anyway with the way it keeps popping back up for sale and then going unavailable pretty much straight away. If they do i think i will open an account at oculus and get one there, may have to wait awhile but i feel like you would have more luck getting one fulfiled at 399 rather than anywhere else as other places usually reserve the right to cancel as they see fit especially if they don't get enough units in to stock to cover their other orders first.

Hi, As from 5 mins ago and after waiting 10 days I have cancelled my order with the Oculus Site but have sourced the whole lot from another place and will be delivered on Tue. This is going to cost me an arm and a leg extra but I am not waiting till the middle of August and I can afford it. Thanks

debating doing the same to be honest from somewhere else.
 
I take it no one has any idea of when stock is due in? Is the middle of August a guess or is that from someone official? I have seen another online retailer stating 31st July for their stock.

That place i got mine from said stock due 26th july for del on 27th, although i nominated for delivery on 28th. Take it with a pinch of salt though i guess.
 
I ordered mine direct from the product site on the 13th July and it was delivered on 18th July (London). I received the two box version (with XBox controller). I'm very glad I did! I had a sudden panic when I saw it was sold out at OCUK and other competitors were sold out also. This told me that 1. it really is a cracking deal and 2. everyone is getting them apart from me!
 
My supplier has rung and told me that they do not have any units left and am therefore getting my money back. I have no qualms about this but it tells me that I am not meant to get the Units and maybe its for the good. So back to computer building with all thoughts of Virtual Reality gone from my head.
 
I ordered on 17th and although it's still in process I'm happy to wait for ocuk to get stock, not going to jump ship on a chance I'll get it a few days quicker. What if I loose I place for nothing? Two risky.

Don't limit yourself with just one supplier. Don't dither if you want something.
 
I've just preordered from OCUK. Hopefully won't be waiting too long. Seems they have ordered plenty, just down to Oculus fulfilling the order. I don't have the time to order at several different suppliers hoping one will come before others. No doubt with my luck they would all be charged and sent on the same day :p
