Rihanna

Her voice is actually very weak in comparison to Beyonce, but its her ability to adapt and reimage herself so well thats made her so successful. She's gone from Dancehall to dabbling in Dance, Pop-Rock, and Hip hop, yet its still pop

Although she looks like a man/horse cross, I think Lady Ga Ga is far more talented.

I've seen a few shows on TV where each has performed live and Rihanna's voice is weak, whereas Lady Ga Ga, still sounds pretty good.

She looked good when she first started out, now she looks a bit too butch, especially with that crappy haircut.
As for her music, its definitely above average but I wouldnt rate her as the greatest female artist out there.

She's very good, but she's only so big because of the massive marketing machine behind her. Convenient how she's always finding her way into those obvious hits, no?

She also is one of the few performers that actually doesn't mime when she sings live either.
Look here, she gets ill and goes off stage and her bit stops thus proving this!... Oh, hang on a minute...:p

It's not really convenient if you keep finding hits for yourself (or even if your management is doing it for you - that's called surrounding yourself with good people). Lots of artists reputedly turned down the chance to do 'Umbrella' before Rihanna, for example. Whatever it is people obviously want to do songs with her, work with her and write songs for her.

I really like her, and my favourite track for her is SOS, and shes soo yummy too.

Still though Lady Gaga kicks her ass music wise!

I can't believe we've had 19 other posts and no images...

to be honest, she has a poor voice, sings the same in most of her songs.
but is very easy on the eye:p

not to keen on early material to RnB for my liking, the turning point was "good girl gone bad" brilliant album, and a move away from earlier releases, some more grown-up tracks with a hint of previous work and a taste of whats to come especally with "Disturbia"

"Rated R" has taken the whole new edginess a step further and i'm loving it, a lot more grown up sound and again with some edgy tracks. Taking the sound of "Disturbia" keeping with it for a couple of tracks. Couple of ballard type tracks, a more rock feel.
Good colabration with Slash in Rockstar 101.

Only way I feel is up, keep the rock sound and go.

Just seen her on radio 1 weekend thing. Sounded flat in a few songs but she had Nuno from extreme playing guitar, so I will let her off.
Can't say I like her stuff generally.
