Disturbia is pretty good...but then it's only good because whoever wrote it was good, Rihanna is ****. Rude boy and Umbrella are two of the worst songs anyone has ever released.....ever.

if you like a rihanna track, its most likely not her track and written by someone else. she cant write a decent song, and she has only got this far due to Jay Z and def jam. if she was on any other label she wouldnt be getting these decent songs, they would be going to someone else on def jam. her talent is limited therefore as being a true artist and the only thing going for her is her looks.
she never split up with chris brown after he beat the crap out of her, it was only after peer pressure from friends and family that she finally ended it. shows how dumb she is.

Meh, long hair, hot, stupid haircut, not so much and as for the music, thats been crap since day one.
Umbrella is catchy, but meaningless, well produced video with lots of money but ultimately not fantastic, Rude Boy is embarassingly bad, like, incredibly, as is most of the stuff she does.
She does pop, nothing else, has her stuff writen for her, and 98% of it is completely crap on top of that. Aside from Gaga mostly writing her own stuff, same deal really, except of course she never looked good at any stage.
Two massively overproduced crap pop stars who have a team of people managing their personality's and image that changes by the week which hooks daft people into thinking they are hip and new, and not the same old crap pop over and over again.

They are, in fact, brilliant pop stars. both of them. Your issue is you dont like the music. Rihanna can sing, very well, but her music *imo* is crap. that doesnt mean she's a rubbish pop star. Quite the opposite, she's very successful. Lada gaga again, she's actually very talented and again i dont like most of her stuff but i can recognize how good she actually is - she's a master of pop.

Rhianna was going no where until Chris Brown beat her up then she shot to super stardom. Same thing happened with Cherly Cole beating up toilet attendents to getting cheated on then hey presto super stardom.

its got nothing to do with chris brown, its all to do with def jam, and the people around her.
cons: she cant write, she hardly ever sings live.
pros: looks, voice.
therefore, find any other girl that looks hot and can sing and they could easily replace her.
her most successful song umbrella was written by the-dream, he has also written for mariah carey, fabolous, j holiday, nivea, etc.
its the song writers who have most of the talent, writing a decent song is the hard part, mostly anybody can sing it then you narrow it down to the best looking person who can sing it.
Beyonce > Rihanna
she has the full package, looks, voice, sings live and writes her songs.

Why are all these modern pop/hip-hop/r&b/etc female singers so awful these days? At least the mainstream ones anyway.
I can remember about a decade ago and maybe a bit before that, whilst the music wasn't the best, the female vocals were at least very good. Singers like Mariah Carey (and many others) were infinitely more talented in my opinion.
