RIP Paul - He did some teatime TV on ITV and Channel 4 nearly 20 years ago and that was quite funny.I'm very drag-sceptic (I blame it on Danny la Rue and Dick Emery), so never paid much attention to his Lily era stuff. But after he'd given that up and I got to know and enjoy him through the Radio2 show a lot better, I belatedly realised he was a comic genius.
RIP Paul.

If the Big Breakfast launched today with Lily Savage as a presenter I can imagine how *some people* would react.
Wow that does sound super sudden according to his friends. Perfectly fine one day, gone the next.
Shame he was a great presenter and seemed like one of life's good guys.
Not now please. If the Big Breakfast launched today with Lily Savage as a presenter I can imagine how *some people* would react.
He has had health problems for a while. A life of heavy smoking then dealing with 3 heart attacks and kidney failure.
Seemed like a really nice bloke, loved dogs too. RIP
Paul O'Grady is an example of how quiet advocacy and a wicked sense of humour can get stuff done.
Yep. Gotta admit reading what they are doing for him nearly brought me to tears.Getting a good turnout from his four legged friends x
