** RJKONEILL'S NVIDIA SHIELD TABLET REVIEW **

PLus worth noting...ANY game you have installed should stream through the Steam app in "My Games". :) Loaded the Walking Dead Season Two that way tonight through my Shield and worked perfectly.

I love lying in bed playing my PC games now without the humm of the PC Tower and the added heat :p

Not stopped using mine since i got it. I don't use streaming at all its a bit pointless for me, the only time i would want to stream is out and about but you need both net connections to be faster than the average.
In the house it works, but if i'm sat in the house i may as well game on the pc. I love it just as a normal tablet, its a good size and plenty fast enough for anything, i get good battery out of it as well now i have set the wifi to switch off with the screen.

Great review, I wonder if any software will eventually allow this to be used with AMD cards?

Would love to get one of these and use it when travelling with work, but I'm fully loaded with AMD cards on all machines at home.

Rjk - are the storage expansion slot for up to 128gb of extra storage will be battery killed? As I know Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 are very bad battery killer if using microSD in use.

128GB works fine, and i dont see any difference in battery while using the micro sd card.

Any of you guys here experiencing cracking or bad wifi?

If so, how is it being handled by OCUK in terms of replacements?

For anyone it's relevant to, I understand these tablets will run 1080p Hi10 profile H.264 at decent bitrates pretty well. One of the few tablets that can. Even Snapdragon 800/801 2+GHz quad powered devices can't quite do that smoothly, and otherwise those are pretty much best of the best in tablet/phone terms right now.

Worried about the cracks myself i was about to get a spiderpodium and 32gb model and use that as a sort of diy shield console. But now Nvidia have came out and said they will make a statement about it soon is telling me they might change the manufacturing or drop this version?

There will obviously be a dual core 64bit version of the same tablet called Denver.
