Hi, as you may recollect i had a major issue eith my 6970 temps. I finally listened to all of you and rma'd the card. It has been returned nff. My card would easily idle at 80 degrees but ocuk said they couldnt get it over 90. I am aware that there is another thread like tgis but it is a different card so i started a new one. His said it was definitely broken as the cooler was displaced and told me to return it to retailer. What exactly should i do now? I am certain the card is faulty as i tried everything i could and it still overheated badly.

Yes. They said they tested it and it never got above 90. Is possible that because their test rig is flat that the cooler may have stayed in place? I am going ti test extensively when the card arrives tomorrow in another system. I did this before and got same results. I have no idea what to do now. HIS are complete ***** and they dont provide any contact info. I managed an email and that took 1 week to be replied to

Why did you ask for a refund & not a replacement ?

If it was found to be faulty they'd just have replaced it with the same model anyway.

I am fed up with these high end cards. Will just go for an old, reliable card. Also, HIS CS was absolutely appaling - i don't know why people always seem to complain about XFX when HIS is absolute ****. The Hong Kong phone no. doesn't even work! I just ant a 460 or something from a reliable brand

I did. I attached a note to the card. Asked them on the phone twice aswell. TBH, the reply from HIS was kinda ruched ad felt like it was copied and pasted, however with all the problems i faced - it seemed pretty much correct.

Well it's a good sign that Killer UK wants me to post there. atleast i won't be ignored. Normally they do answer all my queries which is highly impressive seeing as i ask very many stupid, repetetive and impatient questions

I am oerfectly capable of building my own. I just seem to be really really unlucky with graphics cards. The last time a computer ****** up it was my dads fault as he decided to trh and format the main hdd. I have had many many more problems with a dell pc than i have had with my current one. I do admit that i do have a tendency to occasionaly ignore crucial facts but that isnt really a major problem most of the time.
