Yeah Kona Paddy wagon 2011
With some changes on seat and bars.

Probably sort out a better picture with a better camera next time.

Not always... i know some rims are labelled as 28-35 (although this doesn't always mean that they CAN'T take 23s)
Indeed, if the rims are 19mm wide then the recommended tyre widths would be 28-44 and a 23 would be too small. Assuming that Vegeta has a road bike then it's unlikely to have such wide rims, and so 23mm tyres would be fine. More information is available here.

Good point.

remy87: what are those dropped bullhorn bars you've got on there? They look nice and deep.

****ing typical. Just finished all that work and I had an accident this morning. Wasn't paying 100% attention to the lights and rolled in front of a van that was just pulling away. Admittedly the guy left the lights before they had actually changed, but it was basically my fault. No damage to me but a broken back wheel. Snapped the rim at the join :(

It's the first morning I've been out on my bike this year where I've regretted wearing my long sleeved base layer. Absolutely glorious ride in this morning.

Exactly the same. Although I did regret leaving the house at 8.30 (I normally leave at 8.45/8.50). Amazing how 15-20 minutes can make such a difference to the insanity level of motorists.

Anyway, white tyres or yellow tyres for my Boardman? Or one of each a la their logo?

Bad times dude, which bike was this on? It sounds as though you were not injured, which is the most important thing.

I was told that white is not permissible for tyres, saddles and bar tape, and that attaching any of them to your bicycle is morally corrupt. This is why my white Pompetamine has black tyres, saddle and bar tape.

How about pink? :P

It was my black Raleigh. Caught the back wheel and snapped it across the join on the rim. I've got two spare rims - they're like hen's teeth to find so I snapped up a pair when I saw them - but I just don't think I've got the morale to take it all apart AGAIN and rebuild the wheel :(

Just glad it didn't touch the frame because it would be an expensive fix.

Right, so I tried out the 61cm Fuji Fixie and it was awesome. Comes with 2 brakes from evans as well (nothing special, but better than other places that sell it without).

Also, as a student I get 10% off, and can get another £10 off through cashback. They said a sprocket to make it singlespeed/fixie interchangeable was ~£15.

I'm sorely tempted, what do people think before I push the button, anything similar which I should take a look at?

Specialized Langster
Bianchi Pista
Charge Plug
Surley Steamroller

Don't think any of them will be as cheap as that Fuji though.

Had a quick look but they're all out of my price range. Going to head down to evans on Saturday and haggle it down to ~300 and try and get them to throw a single speed sprocket on. I'll do the whole, cant really afford but will buy it on the spot business, apparently their sales targets are on a sat so it's worth a go.

So by Sat, a new bike, I CANT WAIT. Now to sell my GT Aggressor XCR to get the money back in the bank!

Long time since I've posted in here. I've not been on the bike for a while as I got my car back on the road but now I'm over that initial "woo hoo, FREEDOM".

Anyway, before I stopped I picked up a few punctures on the rear and coming back to the bike last night it has another!

Can someone reccomend me some 700x23C tyres and tubes for all weather use? Preferably yellow! (yeah, vanity, sue me!).

Michelin Pro 3 or Schwalbe Ultremos if you don't mind spending £25 each. Grip on both is phenomenal wet and dry, both very light and good puncture resistance on the Pro 3 from my experience.

As above, Pro 3s are the best tyre I've used. As for tubes, I just use whichever are cheapest at the time I buy in bulk (usually packs of 10-20).
