You know, I never really thought about that. You'd think that losing 70kg would make you feel as though you were walking on air, but the difference is nowhere near that drastic.
Try picking 70kg up if you need a reminder

Actually, don't do that - that's how I hurt my back.

I only ever weigh myself when I'm at my parents. Will have to weigh myself when I head over tomorrow. Will also have to see how much I lose over the course of my century!

I weigh myself every morning. This morning's result: 194lb. A week of munching cakes & biscuits and glugging energy drinks hasn't done me any good.

I've had major acid reflux for the last few days too...

Pffff. I bet my ability to cope with hot conditions is superior to yours :p.

Still a jessie though :p

It is an extra kilo probably made up of pure saturated animal fat! I need to rely on being light as my muscles are puny compared to most of you lot.:p

I'VE DONE IT! I'VE DONE MY FIRST 50 MILER! Actually, I'VE DONE MY FIRST METRIC CENTURY! http://app.strava.com/activities/64882266

Was out with the whole intention of riding up to York Race Course and back, working out to be about 50 miles. My lovely missus was suppose to be at home till I'm home, but decided she needed to go in to work early and conveniently took my house keys. Had to put in an extra effort, climbing up a 'little' hill which nearly killed me after over 55 mile ride.

Got home in the end. Now for a cold water soak!

Had a little bacon sandwich around my 52mile mark at a tea house... but since I've worked hard, I think an extra Bacon + Peanut Butter Toast is needed.

I'm not sure, I set myself a target of hitting my first 50 mile in Summer 2013. Didn't look that far ahead as I've been dreading it seeing as I've only started proper road biking and long distancing since May.

Think my focus will be on my times/average speed at shorter distance to metric century. Maybe when a nice day arrive like today, I'll give it a push for longer distance :)

So...I joined Strava [sic] for the Rapha challenge (that I won't be able to get anywhere near without spending 24 hours in the saddle round here..), but can't see anywhere how I am doing on certain segments.

They should show up in your rides.
When you have uploaded something and you go into the details of it, scroll down and there will be a list of all the segments that you covered on that ride.

(you can also use the explore tab at the top to see a map of segments but ti shows everything so obviously you wont have a time on every segment.)

Did you do a low sky dive on to your ride start?:D

:D
