Leg warmers? Arm warmers? Its still August! Nowhere near cold enough for those at the moment. I went out at 6am this morning for a 25 mile ride and once I'd done a few miles to warm up it was lovely.

Southerners eh :p
Hehe, it's pretty bloody chilly in the mornings here due to the wind. Goes right through you :(.

Do you not find yourself too hot after 10 mins though? I'll switch to long sleeves and bib tights in November, but I find as long as my toes and hands are warm the rest of me takes care of itself!

Excellent wheels. It was a toss up between them and then Racing 1s.

Not sure about ride quality; you should notice an increase in stiffness meaning better power transfer, especially when out of the saddle. This will probably lead to a reduction in ride quality .

Ride quality is mainly down to tyre pressure and contact points (saddle, bars and pedals).

Accelleration should improve with less rotating mass in the rim as well.

Yeah, everything I've read about these wheels says that the ride quality is so good it feels like your rear tyre is under infalted it smooths the road out so much......wheel see ;)

They look like excellent wheels, and for the price are hard to beat by all accounts. Might have to downgrade my Zipp 606 ambitions and get some of those as the other half tells me she wants to go to Cuba in October. Might get some for a race set with Pro3s.

Seriously, I love Cuba but October is the middle of hurricane season and Cuba sits right in the middle of the hurricane highway. If you are looking at Varadero then just go to Spain instead.

Actually one of the guys sitting behind me was looking at a cycling tour of Cuba in October, but he's canned it because of the weather.

Any particular recommendations for arm/leg warmers chaps? Just thought I'd get opinions before I parted with my cash, I've seen some Endura arm warmers for a reasonable price on Chain reaction cycles, and my other Endura gear seems to have held up reasonably well.

I've got the dhb leg warmers from wiggle. They're cheap, and wonderful. Arm warmers I've got some Nalini ones, but at £36 you're probably not after those..

A proper track/floor pump is a good investment, although not essential. Makes keeping the tyres at full pressure much easier than any portable pump.

Definitely one of the best investments you can make, try getting 100psi+ with a mini pump. ;) Also for riding consider CO2 cannisters and an adaptor, inflated tyres in seconds if you puncture out on the road.

A cateye micro wireless won't set you back much and it's a good little computer, I use it. It doesn't have Cadence and Elevation, but everything else. The "dream" of most cyclists is a Garmin 705, but they're a whole lotta money.
