Paid £65.99. Did have a google for any voucher codes but couldn't find any.

At the moment I'm mainly cycling in £20 tights from Aldi and all my bib shorts have been from Decathlon & Planet-X for around £20 so these dhb ones better offer an improvement!

They will be an improvement in comfort, unless you don't get on with the pad shape and type. If you fancy spending a bit more I'd recommend the Santini ones I bought from Prendas. Easily as comfortable as the DHB but much better quality feel to them. http://www.prendas.co.uk/details.asp?ID=3175

The logo falls off quite quickly making them look a bit scabby and the elastic fibres stick out of the leg gripper, which is mildly unsightly. They are very comfy for the money, arguably my most comfortable pair, but in terms of quality they aren't brilliant.

Luck of the draw maybe. I've worn mine regularly for over 2 years now and they are still looking pretty decent. All logos still intact, in fact no visible damage at all.

Only thing i find is that the pad isn't that comfy on roads > 2 hours. I have better shorts than those now that i'd much rather wear on long rides.

Using Pro4 endurance on my every day bike at the moment. Give great grip and feel really comfortable riding on them.

Suitable for winter riding?

I punctured twice on my ride yesterday, and the front tyre looks like it's done for after i rode on it for a km or so after it went. So could do with ordering some replacements to do me til the better weather hopefully arrives.

I've been thinking about changing my cleats, and/or pedal tension

I am currently using the yellow cleats with the tension fully backed off

I want to make it quicker to unclip as I find it takes too long
so would it be a good idea to change cleats to red or adjust the tension settings?

Pro 3 were great for grip but plagued me with punctures as soon as there was a hint of damp or debris on the road. That sticky surface on them used to pick up shards of sandy stuff and it would work through the surface.

The endurance ones, yes. I've ridden them since Christmas so around 1300 miles and I really like them. Had no punctures yet.

The Endurance ones are £20 each at planet x at the moment

I wouldn't recommend going to the red cleats unless your position is absolutely dialled in. They have zero float (i.e. no side-to-side movement) and will ruin your knees if they're set wrong.

I don't find SPD-SLs that slow to release - it might seem counter intuitive but increasing pedal tension might actually make them quicker to release? Seems like it makes sense in my head at least, could be worth a go?

Had a delivery from wiggle this morning just left on my doorstep.

Details on the box said just to leave on the doorstep, but I never specified that, is this standard now with wiggle? Luckily I don't live anywhere dodgy.

Oh I am struggling to find a frame for my bike build. I am just far too picky. I can just look no further than the Oltre XR2. It is beautiful. I have found things with all the other top frames that put me off. And if I'm spending that much I want it to be perfect.

The top top Canyon. Lovely. But it has red. I just don't Iike red.... What is wrong with me? And then I think, is the Bianchi worth twice as much as the Canyon? Probably not.

I've looked at the Colnago. But I just don't like the look of the tube effect of the frame.

Ive looked at the Cervelo. Are the frames only available in the red and blue logo. Really? I can't help but think that I'm being overly picky but it's got to be spot on at that price.

I've looked at the Madone. I really like that, until you learn you can't have campag brakes. Gaaaa.

I feel that I'll never get a new bike! Haha.

Opened my High 5 box which contains enough for a 4 hour event allegedly.

Looks more like a 24 hr event if you ask me!

11 gels, 1 bar, 5 energy drink mixes, 4 electrolyte drink tabs a protein recovery drink and a bottle!

What do people do with them all, just constantly eat gels and bars! I'd be ******** myself after an hour if I tried putting that much through my insides!

As for getting your dream bike, can you not get Campagnolo on Trek even with Project One?

Just to confuse you, have you considered Cannondale, Specialised, Giant, Focus, Orbea, Look, Time or any others yet?

My SiS gels say to have one very 15 minutes or something like that, that's how you get through all of that lot in 4 hours.

Don't think many people will get through it anywhere near as fast though. I just have gels around in case of emergency, much prefer flapjack when out riding. Or, on my last ride, I didn't have any flapjack so just took the whole bag of raisins in the cupboard for going into the flapjacks :)

FU. Squeaky BB I assume as it does it in the stand, pedalling forward or backward, so disassembled it to have a look.

Snapped the tiny bolt on the none drive crank arm, it's known as the pre-load nut, it doesn't really seem like it does anything. It's a ****y 2.5mm Allen that says to do it up to 1.5nm. Just nipping it with a driver, think that's just gone tight I'll stop and ping it snaps.

Shimano none drive side cranks have two whopping great 5mm Allen's you do up to something like 25nm so no chance of those snapping.

I can't see it doing anything, so assume it's ok to ride and the crank won't fall off, just might have a tiny bit of lateral play. Worst case I'll buy a spare second hand one, still didn't solve the squeaking!

I don't even eat that much during an Ironman! Some of the recommendations are a bit much. When just cycling I only carry food for emergency really unless I'm doing much more than 40-50 miles.
