Cheers.

The crazy thing is I did that after a late night, and I didn't eat very well the day before either. God knows where I got the strength from!

The rain is here today, so no riding now :(

Going back to my saddle question, I consciously thought about it when I was riding last night. It feels like very little of my weight is on my sit bones, and like much more is resting in between. Maybe my bones are a bit farther apart or less prominent than most? Or maybe I've got a bulkier bifkin than normal people? In any case, maybe I need a bit of a cutout in the middle, or at least some extra room in the middle. I think I'm going to have to look at my two saddles side by side and see how much of a difference there is in the shape.

I had a similar issue, and it was causing numbness front and back after about 20mins in the saddle. I measured my sit bones in the Specialized store and they recommended a 155mm saddle for my 130mm sit bones based on the angle at which I would be sitting. I bought a Riva Road 155mm to replace my stock Giant 140mm and it is a world of difference.

I'd get your sit bones measured and go from there.

I still get a sore a$$ after 2.5hrs or so though...

I'm thinking a visit to a couple of LBSs to try new saddles is in order for me as well. I know time in the saddle makes a big difference to overall comfort but the Planet-X saddle that came with bike seems to be like sitting on a house brick these days.

Get a nice big saddle bag :P
I've got in mine.
innertube
Ritchey key + attachments
Screw driver
1x Allen key
3x tyre levers
pack of travel tissues
various sized plasters
Various sized cable ties
Mobile phone

And still room for a few chocolate bars or I reckon I could just about fit another inner tube maybe

I'd get your sit bones measured and go from there.
How do they measure sitbones? you just sit on something and leave an indentation or what?

Exactly that.

My saddle bag yesterday was a Carradice Junior and it held tools, tubes, CO2, a pair of shoes, a shirt, underwear, phone, wallet, glasses, travel card, change, headphones, phone charger, knee warmers, arm warmers and a gillet. There was space left over.

Hmmm Merlin have Stages power meters back in stock (DA9000)......tempting, overkill but tempting...Merlin is just a few miles from me.

Nice one Damien. Did you go out and back the same route?
Maybe not any of the "big" climbs but still a significant amount of up-and-down along the coats road.

Yeah it was out and back the same route. It seems to have lost a big chunk of the out. I wouldn't have minded so much of it was the back that went as that was mostly downhill. I'll fix the route when I go home so it at least looks proper but I'd have liked to know how well I did on those climbs.

I was going to go fully into deia but I was out of water and food and getting shaky so I thought I'd better turn round.

I'd wear that

also.. I've just got a payrise! I think I'll get my self a present heh..

I'm sure I won't find anything better for the price! just released by the looks of it too.. full 11spd 6800 ultegra + carbon frame and ok wheelset! can't go wrong?!

I'm a bit vary of carbon frames due to torque and so on limitations but I wonder how do you guys deal with? torque wrenches for everything ?

I obviously don't have a carbon frame but what I would do is get a 1/4" torque wrench to be on the safe side.

Vonhelmet, I am loving the hello kitty jersey, not sure I could wear it. :p

Do you guys buy your jerseys off ebay? I am in the market for one but not sure how much to spend and from where! Just about to order myself some SPD-SL pedals and shoes to suit, and I have bib shorts. I just need a jersey to finish it off, then for cooler days do you just wear a base layer?

I'd totally wear that jersey :D

I've had a look at my Garmin and it's showing the correct distance in the history so hopefully it was an uploading error on strava rather than a problem with the gps. The internet in this hotel room is abysmal so I'll check it out tomorrow somewhere.
