That controversial Lance Armstrong issue of Rouleur has landed on the doorstep. Should make good reading since I'm off sick today :)

You cycle on that road  So glad I don't live in London commuting in that traffic seems dangerous.

It's the approach to Vauxhall Bridge (the building you see in the centre of the shot is MI6) from the south. Unfortunately, if you want to cross the Thames then you've generally got to use the bridges.

The road is better than the cycle path there, especially as about half the cyclists crossing are turning right when the bridge gets to the other side so you need to be in the right lane.

Anyone used Decathlon for 'home delivery'?

I've added items to my basket and the only delivery option I'm given is 'Click & Collect'? My basket value is over the £70 quoted for free delivery!?

None of my items are listed as in store only and all are in stock.

Edit: fixed, one of my items was listed as '4 day' rather than '1 day'. Removed it and now have Royal Mail option!

still waiting for my light to turn up for the mag subscription as well

not going to keep the cateye as a backup, its expansive to keep for that, id rather get some money back and buy a cheap one (as long as I don't loose too much on it)

Now you've said that I've checked the price for the volt 1200 (it was that one wasn't it?) and it's far far out of my budget (unless you really were desperate to shift it lol). I won't insult you by telling you how low my budget is but let's just say I should probably be looking at the volt 300! Sorry to mess you around thinking I'd buy it from you! :(

any time i used decathlon they took about a week to deliver stuff under the free delivery. Wasn't too impressed with them.

yep, that's the one !

no worries mate, you can pay me that figure monthly if you wish ;)

so remember the two crashes I had on a crappy cycle path near vauxhall bridge?

here's another cyclist crashing at the same spot in wet, like I did..

can't believe this is not sorted yet.. major of london pretty much ignored by email about this :o

Was going to post this the other day grudas, reminded me of the description of your fall not long ago!

Is it exactly the same transition spot where you fell? :o

You're having some bad luck. Mine died after a month or so but has been brilliant since then.

yeah I had the knog blinder GT that failed after a couple of months but the replacement lasted 6ish before I lost it on my way home.. derp.

hopefully the replacement for this will last longer!

Clearly you need to keep pushing..the strap :p

+1 lol, not pushing hard enough obviously :p

im currently using 4 seasons by Continental
all great so far :)

I've been using Michelin Pro4 Endurance tyres in the wet and they have been great. Unless you're switching to crazy-wide tyres I can't imagine that there will be much in the ~25mm thickness range that is better.

That said, 4 Seasons and GP 4000S IIs are meant to be at least as good, possibly better. More expensive however.

Thanks guys, I will have a look.

I need to get a couple more. Normally just pick them up from Decathlon in 23mm but tempted to go for 25mm instead this time.

Also, been out tonight and now done 1,000 miles this month :)

I use 25mm and conversely have been tempted by the 23mm as they're easier to get hold of. In theory the 25mm are "better" according to the whole thing about deformation and such but...bleh...I'm not sure how much of a difference that really makes.

There's always 23mm in stock at my local Decathlon so I've just bought them.

I'm tempted to try the 25mm though to see if I notice a benefit, especially in the winter.
