Once you create a segment it will include all past rides on that route too so they may be from that.

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted, still, there's a few people done it since then. I think I was fooled because it didn't show them up immediately, so when I looked back a few days later I was like .

I like strava for measuring my own progress. I'll never be seriously competitive on there, but I like that I can go out and get my achievements and set my PR's and see the improvements.

Yeah, I used to say that. Then I found that some if my times were getting quite a way up the board and then one thing led to another....

Yeah, strava is pretty addictive. I do tend to speed up when I know there's a segment coming up. One hill on my commute home I would sprint up at full pelt every day over the course of a week or two trying to get first.

In the end I got 1st place with a full 2mph average (it's only a short segment) over the next guy down. Now it looks like I cheated or had the wind helping me because all the other times are in a smooth gradual line to the bottom :(

Yeah, I'm up for it... Looks slightly chilly with temps in single digits. Think I'll regret not having arm/leg warmers as I'm going to struggle between too cold and too hot... Ah well, they're next on the list.

Where do you want to meet? Morning will probably be best for traffic...

I've sent you an email through trust.

I think he must have got the new job?

He can afford to buy 2 cervelos :D

Not quite 2, but yes I did indeed get the job. So to celebrate will add a new steed to my stable.

Have always been tempted by a Cervelo, but I'm also fairly keen to look at electronic shifters...

Oh these are looking pretty beautiful.

Which model to choose? This looks pretty sweet.

Next question I guess is do I buy a new bike or fit Di2 to my Ribble?

Gah :p. I now have an official Mrs Platypus to run it past though.

I could sell one of my bikes to pacify her I guess. Haven't used the Bianchi in a few years.

Things to remember;

1) She knew you had a problem with buying bikes before she married you
2) It's a much harder emotional decision for her to leave a husband than it is a boyfriend
3) Forgiveness is easier to ask for than permission

This is pretty much the basis that I got married on. :D

I was going to build a winter bike based on the Planet X Team Alu frame but I've had my head turned by Chinese carbon. Choices, choices.
