If money isn't an concern then if suggest Rapha.

Some of my Rapha kit is new and some is from eBay but its all excellent, the cut is perfect for me and it lasts really well. I'm starting to be able to justify the cost, at least to my self.

I've got Torm.cc jerseys as well but the Rapha kit just looks, fits and works better.

Another option would be Shuttvr.

All three companies I've mentioned make their jerseys from Sportwool rather than Lycra and its much better in all conditions and temperatures.

How much do their jerseys cost, Asprilla? I may be asking for a decent jersey for Christmas or birthday in march, so need to know whether those are feasible brands to suggest to my parents!

Going way back to turbo trainers from a few weeks ago, I remember myself and some others were unsure which to go for, but road.cc have recently done a roundup to go with bikeradar's one:
http://road.cc/content/buyers-guide/70121-ten-turbo-trainers-£150-£2250

http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/best-turbo-trainers-and-rollers-32041/

In there £300 to £400 bracket the Kurt Kinetic and the Elite Wireless digital seem to stand out, so I'm thinking of going for the Kurt Kinetic road machine. It may lack power output and so on but it's supposed to have excellent road feel, plus v good power curves, and apparently hooking it up to something like trainer road (http://www.trainerroad.com/) via my Garmin should give a v accurate response.

Rapha jerseys range from £100 to £170 although they aren't showing much in the way of short sleeved jerseys at the moment. You can usually find 20% discount codes on the web as well.

Torm are about half the price if Rapha and Shutt are somewhere in between.

I'd try fitting first. I love Rapha gear but it doesn't fit as well as Castelli for me.

We, by comparison, had a storming ride, although we did start in some horrible fog. We did 37 miles and climbed over 2,000ft. I got 17 achievements on strava, which isn't bad! One guy we were with, who's normally a bit on the slow side, has just started using strava so in a bid to get some good times in he absolutely blitzed it for a few miles and left us for dust. We couldn't catch him, which was a problem as we wanted to try a slightly different route, but he just stormed past the turning and stuck to our usual route, before we could catch him and tell him otherwise!

Cheers. Sounds like the torm gear might be within reach.

yeah ive looked at bike radar one already

Turbo trainers are a no go for me, has to be rollers, so getting the Elite Arion mag rollers for £240 (ordering monday so i can get it Thursday/Friday)

Becuase i only have one bike, i have no space for anymore, bikes are parked outside and locked up, so i have to unlock it all the time, and set up a trainer change skewers all the time (no space for another wheel) mess about doing all that every day plus i probabally have to adjust the gears everytime plus the tyre wears faster plus the fact that your not moving there more torque going through the frame so not good for my one and only decent bike

Rollers are easy to set up , i just take it off the shelf, and get on the bike once unlocked, more fun so wont et bored as quick

Hi all,

I'm experiencing some issues with my bottom bracket on my commuting road bike, and hope that I can get some advice.

I was experiencing some creaking/clicking noise from the bottom bracket area, and I have narrowed it down to my bottom bracket. There is some play to the cranks, and I can see that the bottom bracket moves within the frame a little when I pull the cranks in turn into the downtube. I can only see on the left side of the BB, and the movement is where the grey grease is:

I'm looking to have a go at fixing this myself, but I've never worked in the BB area so I don't have any tools right now. Am I looking to just tighten something, or replacing the whole bottom bracket? Is there a way of telling what bottom bracket I have, so that I know what tools to get? I have a Trek 1.2 2010, and from a bit of searching I may have a "Shimano UN-54 Square Taper BB" but I can't be sure.

Thanks

My new chain is slipping like a bitch, means new cassette time am i right? I did change the rear wheel at the same time if that has any bearing.

And on that subject fitting a missing link chain without the proper tool is a bit of a ballache
