I was looking at the Redeye and the Flare and was surprised at the price for the quality. I honestly hought Exposure lights were far more expensive. If I don't get any joy getting the Raleigh replaced, I'll consider one of them. Not got my saddlebag yet but I'm not sure if it can be fitted nicely to the seatpost as I don't have many inches exposed (ooer!)

JonnyM, do you know which supplier does Exposure?

I believe they sell directly but im not 100%.

I can't really do that as I want to transfer the light from two bikes, depending on which one I'm riding.

You need to secure the front half of the light to the back half, rather than the bracket. The issue is that the batteries are stored in the outer shell of the light and the outer half tends to spring away from the inner half under force due to the added weight of the batteries. A more sensible design would have been to have the batteries in the half actually secured to the bracket...

It's a shame because the light performs brilliantly.

Just didn't get round to it, so it's my own fault really. Also only single locked it when I usually use 2 locks. It was registered at bikeregister.com and the frame has been security marked/etched if that counts for anything.

Keep your eyes peeled for a size S, Whyte Stirling 2012 with Continental Gator Hardshells and Zefal hybrid mudguards if you are a London commuter!

Oops, i'v gone an got myself addicted to Strava.
Upload your gps logs and it works out who else has ridden the same climbs and makes a leaderboard.

I can see myself having to ride for miles just to try and beat somebody up some random hill in the middle of nowhere :p

I had not bothered with Strava, but knowing that you can compete against complete strangers on local hills is irresistible, and so I have signed up. Thanks touch!

I started using Strava last week (might prove difficult now I'm sans bike) and I find some of the segment times and speeds a bit dubious. Are people really averaging 28mph on their bikes?

The only thing that annoys me is that it doesn't count turbo sessions in the mileage totals. I can see why, but it's still annoying, especially as mine is reasonably calibrated to a flat road

Yep sports tracker is pretty good, i have the Pro version on my phone.
The good thing about strava tho is that i can upload straight from my garmin.

Ah yes I've just been browsing around the account settings and seen that. You can also upload .gpx files in sports tracker but it seems it doesn't support as much as strava does. Still good to have a few decent choices :)

Yeah, the Garmin Training Centre gives me all the data i need, i'm using Strava purely to try and beat random stranger's times :p

Went on only my 4th road ride of the year today, 6hr59m for a solo century with 8100ft of climbing.

So that's 3 centurys and a hilly 70miler for my 4 road rides :D

My second ride, 4.5km! :p

Just getting used to the feel of the bike, breaking my backside in and adjusting to using road cleats.

Bit of a pain when you have to clip/unclip at junctions getting started, need to crank over a few times then when have a decent amount of speed clip in, just need to practice clipping in/out. Coming from MTB SPD's which are a lot easier being dual sided.

I found someone else has shared a good route locally on endomondo, 26km circle which seems to avoid the main road for the majority of it, his times are 55 minutes approximately, so if I could manage under an hour I would be impressed! I will aim for under 75 minutes later this week if the weather is OK.
