One of the small yellow walking platforms on my Shimano SPD cleats fell off today, do you think this sort of thing will be covered by warranty? They're less than 2 months old and hardly show any wear, they haven't worn down anywhere near to the "replace me" line.

Worth a try. I'v found them to be very resilient, so maybe there was a problem with yours?

6th - I cant work out from that site how many they have in stock. If there's only 1, i'll give you until tomorrow to make up your mind before i buy it :p

Hi all,

I'm trying to calibrate my cycling computer so that it has the correct wheel size based on my new wheels. I have a pair of Fulcrum Racing 7s that are 622x15c. Can anyone tell me what the wheel size measurement is to enter into a cycling computer?

Thanks

Mark a line on the tyre with chalk. (if you don't want to be quite so pedantic as me just use the valve or tyre writing as your starting point).
Mark the ground at starting point.
Line up chalk on tyre with the mark on the ground
Put weight on bike
Ride bike in straight line for one wheel rotation.
Mark the finishing point.
Measure between the two points in millimetres.
Enter that number in the computer.

I usually use the edge of the patio slabs to give me a starting point and the straight line. Then just chalk a mark at the finish.

I've tried this Strava app but 2 out of 3 rides it has stopped half way through, I don't notice it as it in my jersey pocket.
My phone is locked any ideas why? It is on my HTC desire btw.

PS The new tryre are nice fast, from someone who's not riden in over a year so isn't bike fit am now only 1 1/12 mins from my pb to work. I also touched 40kph along the embankment which is more than before.

@6th Element - i would rather buy the Giant TCR composite 1 for £1799 or if you can stretch to it, the Tcr Advanced 3 for £1999

your £200 away from some amazing bikes from Trek, Giant etc...

erm...they're not quite at the same cost as the Litespeed ;)

I think It's about £5k in the UK isn't it?

The frameset is on sale at Evans just now. Reduced to £1400 from £2500

I realise that, I was just highlighting that the Litespeed frame, with SRAM force and Mavis K Elites was a far more expensive bike than the two Giants mentioned. Therefore a bargain combined with the 1800 total price for it :)

It just made me start looking at the cost of some 50mm carbon wheels etc on top of that :D

Yes, i was agreeing with you :p 1800 is a great price.
Unfortunately, it will probably cost me nearer 2200 after import duty and nearer 3000 with some proper aero wheels.

Makes it a tough decision between that and a Canyon Aeroad.
The canyon is a few hundred more, but has dura ace groupset.
