^ *thumbs up* :)

Is it possible to add/follow friends on Garmin Connect? Having a look around but can't see any obvious option.

Are you using the for draft legal events?

If so then you'll need a pair that are joined at the end. You can get a seperate bar end joiner at a later date if you need to though.

I found aerobars very subjective: you need to try them to find the most comfortable shape for you. I prefer thumbs at 45degrees rather than level with the ground.

The length will be adjustable the size is just for max length.

Yeah, kind of. Well, there won't be any drafting as it won't be done in a group; it's the ride round the Top Gear track thing. Will just be individual laps and the like.

Get each side on the wheel at a time rather than trying to get both sides on at once, ie get one side of the tyre completely in the wheel before starting on the other.

That's the only advice I can give, and I've been where you are believe me :p

Well I officially fail at changing inner tubes on road bikes, taken me 3+ hours, 2 inner tubes pinch punctured, 2 sets of tyre levers and I'm still at step 1.

Been there done that when I was new to road bikes. This video helped me a whole bunch. Basically you should only ever need tyre levers to get the tyre and tube off. You should, be able to pull the tyre back onto the rim by hand, and so eliminate any pinch flats.

Pump up the tube a tiny bit so it has a good shape, place it in the tyre. Get one bead of the tyre into the rim. Make sure the tube is inside the rim now too. Let the air out of the rim slightly, and go round the tyre squeezing it to make sure the tube is not caught anywhere. Then start to get the other side of the bead into the rim. Once on, go round the tyre both sides and make sure there is no tube showing between the tyre and the rim, and then pump up and you should be good.

I've heard talc also helps, although I've never bothered.

I've never had trouble changing tyres on my DH bike, in fact i've only had maybe 2-3 punctures in years. This road bike, I had one within 4 miles of the bikes life.

It looks so easy in that video, these tyres sure as hell aren't that easy to get back on.

My experience is the opposite: DH tyres are the worst things ever for getting off the rims.
I only ever had 1 puncture on my dh bike, but it took me ages to get the tyre off.

It was a rigid tyre with a steel wire inside the bead and i'v only ever used folding tyres with rubber beads on my road bikes, so maybe that explains the difficulty?

I really wanted an Aeroad CF 8.0 but they were sold out and Canyon told me it'd be Jan-Feb before they'd have stock of the new 2013 models. That was too long for me to wait so I went for a customised Rose Xeon CRS-5000.

I will upload some pics when I get it. Hopefully will get to christen it with a London to Brighton run this weekend.

Thats the problem I have my road bike tyres are wire beads so a friggin nightmare to remove and put back on.

The DH ones are the same but because they are big and chunky I can get a decent grip on them.

Trust me they will go on,

it took me hours and hours to get my gatorskin hardshells on my fixed gear, they felt 'too big' for the rim as in you couldnt even seat one side properly without something popping out.

got there in the end after lots of sweat, skinless fingers and swearing.

Nice looking bike!

It took me ages to get my gatorskin folding onto my Campagnolo Neutrons - I'm not looking forward to when I get a puncture!

I only ever fit Schwalbe Ultremo's to my road bike now, not because I'm a tart and insist on fancy\expensive tyres for commuting, but because they are unbelievably easy to take off\put on.

I had Schwalbe Blizzard tyres before then, nightmare.
