I have a Spoon on my Charge bike. I do think it is pretty comfy. I cycled 50 miles on it once without padded shorts and I was a little sore but I think that's not bad considering I had normal shorts on!

It is a very personal thing, but I've had the Charge Spoon on my old hybrid initially, and then swapped it to my Giant Defy 2 road bike when i bought it 4 months ago. Done around 2000 km on the Giant and find it v comfy combined with some DHB Roubaix padded bib shorts.

37 miles and 2000ft this morning. Leaves me 250ft short of my target of 10,000ft in the past 28 days on strava - boo! Hopefully I can get there next week. I got 11 achievements this morning which is pretty good. Found a new downhill segment called "Operation turn the sign red" near me, which has one of those speed reading signs halfway down, haha.

One of our number got a puncture halfway round which stopped us for 15 minutes or so. Might have made it to my target, but for that!

We had a bit of a close encounter with a horse on our ride earlier. We were stopped by the side of the road having a snack and this lady is riding a horse past in the opposite direction. The horse is trying to get across to us, and she's having to keep it in check. She tells us that the horse is obsessed with bananas, and has got it into his head that all cyclists have bananas, so any time he sees a cyclist he goes for them.

In other, non-equine, news, the new version of Strava does indeed have the better battery life that the release notes promised. It used to be it would die when I hit 32 miles. I did 37 today and finished with 41% battery. Bargain.

Oh yeah, and someone said they've heard tell of Queen Victoria training round about where we go out. Apparently she lives somewhere near us and has been spotted. Will have to keep my eyes open!

Thats the problem, too much choice !

EDIT//
these look like a good shout

"dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Short"

I have a pair of those - they are decent for reasonably mild weather but i'm finding them a bit chilly on some of the colder days we're now having. Also, the pad is ok, but not amazing if you're doing long distances (50 miles + ). I got them in the sale when they were about half the current price tho.

I also have a pair of the dhb Pace Roubaix Padded Bib Shorts and they are better suited to the colder weather and the pad is much more comfy. I see they have these back in stock on Wiggle and with a hefty discount as well:

I'm tempted to pick up another pair myself tbh.
