Doh! Instead of turning off in Hope to go to Edale just carry straight on through Castleton. You come out in virtually the same place.
Still up for a ride this weekend if the weather is decent oli?

Is Winnats Pass so bad that you missed it out, twice?
Didn't realise it was therefirst time visiting the peaks

The Mam Tor climb is more or as less as tough and usually more enjoyable to ride at the weekend because traffic can get a bit backed up going up Winnats and there are too many Sunday drivers!
Still, gives you something for next time.![]()

Right, I just got my Edge 500 + HR + cadence. I've yet to attach the cadence sensor though. I've got Shimano cranks, and these have a sort of well running the length of them on the inside, so not a flat surface for fitting the magnetic sensor. I could fix it into the well with the sticky pad that came with it, but I doubt that it would hold. The cable tie definitely won't hold it.
Just interested in how you guys fix this little magnet to similar cranks?

I aimed to zip tie mine as close to the crank bolt as possible so it had a bit of purchase on the flat rear surface of the bolt. The best solution though is getting a minature neodymium magnet off eBay (only a couple of quid at most) and attaching that to your crank bolt. No adhesive or zip ties necessary.

Thanks, I've ordered some neodynium magnets from fleabay so hopefully they'll do the trick.
I guess the temporary solution as you suggest is to place it as close to the pedal bolt as possible. Cable ties are horrible things though!!![]()
