Must still be on Hong Kong time as I woke up at 5am this morning. As I'm still off work and I couldn't get back to sleep I nipped out for a quick visit to RP to see if I had turned into a fatty...

Indeed, a beautiful morning for it!

Nice work chief - I've not been out much of late, did go round Richmond Park last weekend but my tendonitis has flared up again so I'm having to rest again!!

I absolutely must get out for a ride tomorrow. I haven't been for one for a couple of weeks, and I haven't run for over a week. I can feel myself revering to what Shamrock tactfully refers to as a fatty :(

Definitely can't make the Dynamo Saundie, but if you want a long ride between now and then (I realise time is short) you're more than welcome for a weekends riding up here.

Quick jaunt this evening to wear in some new shorts and pick up some personal bests. It occurs to me that the bypass near us is borderline pointless as I'm sure there's now more traffic lights, roundabouts and pelican crossings than on the road it's bypassing. The surface is also hideous.

Just got a bit of cycling either side of a train journey on Saturday, heading to my parents ahead of Sunday's almost-a-century ride.

You going to be around in the evenings during that Rapha challenge? I've just been told that we're massively busy that week & I need to train a new member of staff so no days off for me. :(

It's going to be evening Belmont loops all round I reckon.

Indeed it is. First morning of the year I've comfortably cycled in wearing short sleeves!

You're kidding right?!

I'm no hard man who wears shorts etc in winter, but it has been pretty warm for a long time! I do run pretty hot anyway, but I can't even conceive wearing long sleeves for the past few months.

i've been cycling in t-shirt for a couple of months now.. :o

Prepare for incoming abuse from the "i'm so hard i wear shorts all year" brigade. :D
Yes I'm well prepared :p.

No I feel the cold something rotten, especially in the wind :(.

It's probably fine for other people. I've got <5% body fat and am down to my lowest weight in years.

I did set off this morning with arm warmers on :o.

Man I'm hungry today, my legs are aching nicely and my stomach is rumbling. I need meat.

How much protein do you guys consume a day? I weigh about 77kg and looking on the tinterweb I should be consuming roughly 85g a day, sound right?

I've never really bothered looking into what I eat, no more than just having poache eggs for breakfast, tuna sandwich for lunch and something meaty for tea the day after a ride. What do you lot do?

I just eat anything and everything without too much thought at the moment.

I'm cycling so much I'm always hungry. Maybe I should pay more attention though, I'm way off 5% body fat

There are plenty of sites that can track your macro intake by inputting what you've eaten (I happen to use DailyBurn)

It surprised me when I did it - I ate a lot of carbs and less of everything else than I thought. I'm currently trying to bulk so eating 1g protein for 1bl body weight
