I don't think it's unreasonable to expect at least 5 years - a bike should definitely last that long, after all.

Every manufacturer is different. So I wouldn't "expect" anything and would check with the manufacturer/seller before buying and factor that into my purchase decision. Better?

Yeah, I would have thought so myself.

Ribbles legendary customer service coming to the fore again. Two weeks and no reply to two emails, finding a phone number on the website that isn't a sales line seems impossible..

Generally manufacturing defects (materials and workmanship) of both frame and decals.

The difficulty comes in proving it was a manufacturing defect and not user error (like cleaning your bike is isopropyl alcohol removing the decals).

Also, they invariably apply to first owner only and are not transferable if you sell the bike.
