Which turbo trainer programs do people recommend to help with strength and endurance?

I have my TT bike on the turbo trainer so 1hr program max. Given the weather i want to try and get fit if i can't get out.

Looking at these:-

personally I wouldn't do Endurance on a Turbo, boring, I do that outdoors, I just use the Turbo for Threshold/VO2 max stuff

Use TrainerRoad fella, its got everything you need

Got a turbo trainer and want to use that. I have to exercise on a budget because have my own house, no Mrs to pay towards it and a low paid (in my eyes! Lol) job.

Not buying anything extra - using what i have which is elite volare magnetic turbo trainer and Planet X TT bike. I have a road bike but injuries prevent me riding in cold and wet! I agree endurance is never going to happen on a turbo but looking at those programs it specified endurance a few times.

sorry to hear that about the injuries)

First eve comedy slow mo "clipped in" fall today.

A really steep bit of a climb, churning away and missed a gear, slowed to much and generally just keeled over as I didn't manage to get my right foot out in time. No damage done just a bit winded! Glad no one was around.

Very windy at times, bearly managing 14mph on the flat at times.

Also what's the best winter commute gloves? Reviews seem to be conflicting, at the moment I use so snowboarding type gloves:p
I got DHB Extremes in the end and I've been very pleased with them. Seem to be screwed together well, they're warm, not too bulky and definitely waterproof.

Slightly embarrassing thing, but after a long stretch of cycling, say 10km, then I hit some lights, I put my foot down and immediately get a cramp in my calf that means I have to dismount my bike asafp to stop it! Pretty embarrassing, but I'm not sure how else to stop it. Its mostly because I have to stretch a fair bit for the toe to hit the floor, whereas if I put my foot down on a kerb it won't happen as I don't have to reach as far.

Do you stay on the saddle when stopped? You shouldn't be needing to stretch to get your foot on the ground as you can just shift forward and stand over the top tube.

Lovely weather today, got out for 45 miles at a 14.8mph average, weirdly enough my highest average yet even though its at the top end of the distances and it was hard work in the headwind at times, and where I should have had a tail wind seemed to be sheltered so didn't get the full benefit.

Have been laid low for the last ten days. even going in to work had been a struggle but couldn't waste a weather window like today. First time in months without the gabba as it just felt wrong to wear when they was so much sun and blue sky. Really enjoyed a nice 25 miler. First time out for a fortnight but the break did me some good. Looking footwear to getting some miles in before work soon. EBay team Columbia kit also performed quite well.

I had a nice ride out this morning until my freehub failed. Thankfully it did it fairly near to a mates house so I spent the afternoon in a pub and got a lift home. Has anyone go any experience with Campag Khamsin free hubs? I'm guessing I'm going to have to buy some new tools as I can't see my Shimano cassette tool fitting.

I think maybe you've got one over-tensioned spoke, potentially because the nipples on some neighbouring spokes have seized and the lbs has overcompensated by truing the wheel by pulling one spoke up mega tight. If it's being persistent, your best bet is probably to unlace the wheel, grease all the spoke threads and lace it back up.

Unless of course you've got a defective spoke and it's stretching. Maybe worth replacing that spoke first and see how you get one.

Going to go in this morning. The nipples shouldn't be seized as its a new wheel build and yesterday was the first time ridden in the rain.

Kept the wheel in the house overnight to dry out.

Did a little over 70 miles today, only 15mph avg which I was hoping for a little better,

top day though, horrid headwind and chills on the way out to liverpool from manchester, but the ride back was fast fast fast with the tailwind

Managed 150 miles this week despite being in Cheltenham over the weekend. Lots of strange blacked-up  morris dancers and a wicker chicken. Pretty crazy.
