Nice to ride in this morning, but despite riding very casually I could feel my knee complaining
I think more than a month off is in order. Rest up, let everything knit back together and start again from scratch. I think it's the most sensible thing to do
Have you checked your cleats lately , they could be worn out or adjusted wrongly. Sometimes just a small adjustment will sort out knee problems or maybe your shoes need replacing or maybe buying some insoles or arch supports will do the trick

Bumped into one of my neighbours this morning and he said to 'give him a holla' if I 'fancy a ride' - luckily I had my bike with me at the time. We chatted and I've now got an open invite to 'an easy 20 or 30 miles'...
How do I build up to that distance? For those that don't know - all I've really ridden the last year is my 4.3 mile work commute...!

Yeah, I'm on toe clips and always have been. Feet tend to auto-align in clips.Think he uses toe clips.

Oh, and Jens Voigt's hour record attempt starts in approximately 6 minutes on Eurosport.
Amazing! What an achievement, 51.1 km!
Just got the start times for my first ever hill climb TT - I also saw Arsey on there!
Dreading it as I'm still low on fitness following my crash, but I guess it gives me a benchmark for next year!
