Had an enforced week off due to work.

Felt terrible on the trainer today but work back into it! Have another break coming up next week for a holiday though so that's all good

Started my ride tonight and shifted a couple of times.. didn't feel anything. Gear cable slack... some how it lost tension.

Inspected it and the cable end is stuck at the top of the cam in the shifter... great. Can't seem to get it out of there at all. I still have cable on the other side but pushing it through is just bending the cable.

Had something similar happen last year. LBS took my shifter apart in the end.

I had it happen with just the cable end getting stuck in the bottom of the shifter a few months back... now again but different scenario. Tried everything I can to remove it this morning but having no luck... bike shops all seem to be busy as well. Typical!

Clearing stuff at my parents' new house ahead of their house move. It's on a back road which serves as a cut through to get past some busy roads so it gets a lot of cycling traffic.

Anyway.

Some guy who must be about 40-50 has just ridden past on a pinarello.

With a camelbak.

So that's you - I saw your time on the Strava Dover Hill OcUK list. I also did that ride :)

Looking at the flyby - you were just behind me up to the first food stop.

Ooh I forgot to check the OCUK list to see if anyone else was around.

I lost my group after the hill, I got caught up at a junction, lost 5 minutes on them :( then we stayed chatting to a few guys we knew at the food stop, probably too long. :p

I plan to go up there with my new bike as it's lighter & mechnically sound... my Pinnacle was so beat up, still is. :o

Guys anyone know of a good cycling club around south London? Brixton/Croydon ish? Someone who would not cry about a disc brakes ;)
