Waiting impatiently for my titanium post to arrive from China. I measured up my frame and it's the 74.5 degree seat tube that gives me the positional issues. It's probably fine for TTing (it is an old TT frame) but it means I'm always too far forwards for normal road cycling even with the saddle as far back ont he rails as it'll go. The new post has 30mm layback on it so should mean I can get the saddle in a more sensible position on the mount without it being completely slammed :D

And titanium.

How much was the titanium seatpost out of interest?

I've just ordered a replacement cheap Chinese carbon seatpost but if it lasts as long as my previous CC seatpost (less than 5k miles) I might be swapping it out again pretty soon.

tempted to get this -;

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-asv-roubaix-long-sleeve-jersey-black-edition/

anyone has got one ? either the BE or the normal?

race fit kinda scares me, I go large in DHB tops so looking at the measurements I'd need XL here..

One of the few DHB ranges I've not tried as they're towards the upper end of the price bracket! The normal ASV Roubaix looks good still and comes in a great orange colour! If it's the same roubaix fabric as used on the Vaeon roubaix tights I have then it'll be good for this time of year but you'd need something thicker under/over it in the real cold (below zero) temperatures.

It's expensive still at £85 but if the performance is similar then I think that represents good value:

Expensive for DHB and make sure you read the reviews - most state it isn't as breathable as quoted...! For that price I would be looking elsewhere - Sportful NoRain etc.

lol the moment you get a new stem and bam, one of the bolts won't go in for what ever reason...

Lol! Sure there's not another with it?

Anyone use or can recommend me some lightweight tights for spring/autumn ? I have tights but are too thick for these conditions, I don't have leg warmers, so I thought id get something light to cover my legs and my nuts as they are feeling the chill

Use your wiggle vouchers on some Vaeon Padded/Unpadded tights if all you need is a layer on your legs, obviously padless over shorts would give you double layer on your chilly w*lly. I recently got some padless roubaix (I already own padded normals) to wear on these cold mornings and very impressed by them (I'll then wear padded ones under the padless on the colder mornings, or my knee warmers under with them shorts). Options/combinations! :D

they look a little to warm for me, I currently have ones similar to them from Planet X, they are like a Roubaix fabric material, id like something without that fleecy stuff really

I don't think I'll need anything more for the winter, do keep in mind that I rode through the whole winter last year, in baselayer and shorts only :o I'm literally a HOT guy lol. :D

yup, no other bolts, this was a bit loose in the stem when I pulled it out of the box and then I tried to screw it in but it wasn't moving so I pulled it out and bam it has no thread!

Yeah but the basic Vaeon padded are non roubaix, just straight lycra tights, unfortunately the padless version of them are out of stock!

If you run that warm then you may need something with some vents/mesh rather than full 'roubaix'?

No thread because race bolt? :p

dunno, I'll see how I cope lol! I think with a very slim vest under it I will do just fine! :)

haha, maybe, weight saving init!

just looking im Decathlon,

these could be what im after
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/ekiden-tights-id_8280449.html

they are for running though, but shouldn't be a problem

Ah, I thought you were after bibbed :)

thanks roady
I cant seem to find the non-Roubaix unpadded bib tights, only these waist versions
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-vaeon-unpadded-waist-tight/

Yeah therein lies the problem, this time of year Wiggle seem to sell out of lots of DHB stuff which sometimes coincides with 'new' DHB (2016) ranges, other times they're out of stock for months with no replacements until the warmer weather.

They also seem terrible at managing their own DHB range of stock levels... Other brands have ETA's, not theirs!

bibs or not bibs, I don't mind to be honest
just want some that isn't padded and not fleeced

i'll see how I go sunday when im out early morning, i'll see if I can cope with my bib tights that I have if I feel its quite cold, or ill just go knee wamers and shorts and brave the chill on my nuts

£60  but it seems like layback posts are expensive, plus I needed one that fitted 'the look' of the bike and which didn't look like a modern post. The Velo Orange Grand Cru is the closest to what I wanted in plain alloy but still it's £40.

Dis it:

And there's an aero section one too:

Titanium is really hard, can't see it wearing out on you!

My left cleat will not clip in.. Literally won't clip into position at all.

On other news, stopped on a hill today, accidently, left cleat wouldn't unclip, there were blood.
