People with PMs - what's your data screen setup like? On my 810 it's 8 points with something like:

Power, Power 3s
Speed, Cad
HRM, Avg Spd
Distance, Ascent
Elapsed Time, Time of Day

Question for you all: What water bottles do you use? I like the Elite Corsa ones, but I don't like the idea of my nozzle being exposed (ooh err) to the elements/road dirt/mess.

Elite Corsas (they match the bike :D) and sometimes take a 750ml bottle so high5 or Pro Cycle Hire Mallorca free one.

Probably caused a chunk of damage to your cassette if that was the case.

Yeah, can't be ideal. My drivetrain sounded pretty horrendous the past few weeks :o

Now with the new chain all I can hear is the rumble of the tyres on the road. Shifts well and no slipping so hopefully the cassette is fine.

If you feel like it, get some pictures up.

If you've let it go really badly both the cassette and the front cogs will be screwed. The rate of wear on your chains will also rapidly increase in that case.

I've got different screens, as I usually just focus on speed-cadence-power3s-time of day.

Everything else is just noise to me.

I might consider using average speed though, and maybe if there is an average power option.

For turbo trainer, I just have cadence, elapsed time and HRM. I tend to keep it simple, plus I can't see all the numbers if I have too many things on the screen.

Don't really notice a difference in using just normal water, or a SIS powder. Its probably more a placebo in my case.

Most of the important stuff (the first few you mention) is at the top but I like being able to quickly glance down to see the other data when I want to. I don't like having multiple screens personally so it's just the one screen and the map screen. On the map screen I have two data fields with power and speed though I may consider changing that at some point.

I have 810, my front screen which is always on is as follows:
Power 3s
HR
Cadence
Distance
Elapsed Time

I have a second screen that shows my avg speed, avg cadence, ascent, time of day etc.

RT power is useless, I wouldn't bother with it and just use 3s avg power as your main readout. I think first screen is much better as least cluttered as possible, just keep it to your key performance indidcators so power, HR, cadence and other fundementals. Your averages/time of day and things like that better off on another screen out the way as it's something you check periodically rather than needing to see every time you look at the device.

Another amateur in the UK banned.
Link to PDF on there which has full details.
Claims his drink was spiked by a bloke he has a running drama with. From the guys story it sounds this other cyclist is a complete and utter knob, but UKADA aren't taking his story at all and have banned him for 4 years..... Not as glamorous and mad as some of the doping stories we get to read but yet another instance of doping at amateur levels.

Modafinil = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modafinil

Modafinil has been shown to prolong exercise time to exhaustion while performing at 85% of VO2max and also reduces the perception of effort required to maintain this threshold.

Had a quick look and everything seems to look ok, I guess if the cassette and chainrings had worn pretty badly in-line with the old chain, the new chain would be a pretty poor fit and start slipping/poor shifting performance.

I also have a seperate screen for intervals with 3s, 10s, lap avg power, elapsed time on lap, distance on lap. Useful for doing 10/20min intervals, or just to set a lap time up a climb etc

so I've done like 1200 miles on my new/disc commuter.. and it came with -;

http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Continental...BrwQqH9WMjxewoXvHGSnmIQ9xaHLQzk65xoCKmDw_wcB#

tyres and tbh they're darn good! good grip, not a single puncture(yet) etc! and they're not that expensive... comparing them to pro4's which felt as good but I had more punctures with them..

on that note -;

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/vitus-bikes-zenium-vr-disc-road-bike-2015/rp-prod120698

paid £800 like 3 months back.. and it's £699 now! a lot of bike for the money, proper stiff, good brakes, nice groupo etc :o

Interesting. I found that RT power seemed okay but I'm only really comparing it to my TR stuff and to be honest I've not trained to power on the road yet. So far it's just a "ooh, look at the pretty numbers". Soon I'll be approaching it more seriously.

I have never used the lap functionality either...Perhaps I'll set up a training screen or two, or a training bike profile with this stuff on.

High 5 water bottles amongst a load of random ones. Find them good and cheap.

Garmin screen at the minute for when I've been training, 10 second power, lap average power, lap NP, speed, time elapsed, distance.

And I've swapped back from Michelin Pro 4 E to Vittoria Rubino Slicks as the Vittorias are a third of the cost and almost as good.

Oh yeah, me too, but I have a completely different profile for that.
The one I described was my typical training ride profile/screen setup. I have a seperate profile for interval work/FTP testing that has everything you mention :D
