Good old Canyon.

I've had the bike nearly two weeks now, but I have absolutely no idea when I'll actually be able to ride it because they don't even have an ETA on the stem/bars that I need to switch. They've only actually bothered letting me know this now, despite the fact I ordered it in December.

To top it off, they sent through the saddle clamp adaptor to use for carbon rail saddles.. but it's for the Aeroad seat post which is a totally different design, so they're useless.

What problem do you have Oli? If you don't need that saddle clamp adaptor I might actually need that... :p

I needed a 110mm stem and prefer 400mm bars so I asked for replacements - I then found out that despite saying when I ordered that I wanted this it didn't affect the order, they basically build as is and I instead have to wait for them to send me the correct size parts. Problem is ordering them has been a farce, and only now have they told me they don't even have an ETA on supplying them!

Do what I did and email their CEO, had it in 3 days after that :p want the email?

His name is Roman. He'll read it. Express your frustration at the process and that you can't even ride the bike you were so desperate to get and waited ages for bla bla bla

My legs are so dead, 6 days straight starting with race last Sunday, then hard efforts Tuesday and Thursday.

I had nothing for today's morning bunch ride, lots of sitting on and not much swapping off!

a rim can be surprisingly concave to look at and still have loads of life...

i found this online

if in doubt, get some dental calipers off ebay

I've just swapped my rims out and they lasted 5.5k miles and that was through winter. There were pretty badly worn!

I must be the only person who got reasonable service from Canyon although I 'm not overly impressed with the bike:(

@ Roady - http://road.cc/content/news/182972-hargroves-cycles-dealcatcher-takeover-exclusive-discount LX760 and Nebula rear set (also comes with remote) there for £80 with coupon code.
Great deal... Just a shame I have the Nebula already (spare in cupboard)... Typical! Think I'm going with what I know and trust - Cateye. As I'm returning a 7 month old light I've found slightly lacking I'm a bit silly not to take the refund option and invest it in a bigger one (Volt400 for 800). Don't get many chances to do that!

5.5k total?! :o
So sort of embarassed to tell you all this.

So after riding this for the past couple of months since my accident.
Lol! I know I'm a real follower of the 'electrical tape for everything' belief but if that's holding your shifter on you've broken boundries not even I would consider! ;)
Quite surprised the damage to the shifter only looks cosmetic? LBS swap bars?
Chucking it off your car? Was it moving at the time? :p
Yup!
Good old Canyon.
<snip>they're useless.
Trolololol! Shame their communication has been so poor, is that a straight swap they're doing for the bars?

After my 50 miles on saturday I've only taken sunday & wednesday as rest days... I'm due to go out with a friend later on our 20 mile after work loop we did on monday (he wants to build on some miles). But I also want to go on the shop ride tomorrow morning (35 miles). If I do that's probably my miles done for the week, will be up to near 95 (so close to last week) and quite pleased (target is 60 miles a week before the clocks change). Foam rolling like a madman this weekend as I've built quite a bit of fatigue... Really need to take more rest days but don't like to miss out on riding in the brighter/better weather! :D

I had this post Majorca when I started reducing my food back to a normal diet :P Forgot to post that I got some more Rapha the other day and inside is a message that emanates with this post Berger....

LBS swap bars?

It's fine, they work 100% and it is just scraped metal, chuck on the new hood and you can only see a small mark on the front. Got the bars from Wiggle so got to send them back and ordered new ones. Bit of a pain, but luckily TTing Sunday so don't need the bike over the weekend and should have Ridley back today with some luck.

My wall mount came yesterday. Decided to hide it behind the door in the conservatory whilst im doing the house renovation. Took my girlfriend 5 hours to even notice it :D

Nice Kimi! Looks beautiful. Love the flow of that frame!

I was going to drive this morning, as I need to go to the tax office in town and I'm not leaving my bike outside, locked or not. Last bike went missing next to there, so no chance. Car wouldn't start at all, which is nice. Meant I had to ride haha

I have some new Canyon bibs and top, short sleeve summer jobbies, that I got on. They're really nice! It was about 5.5c this morning but the sun is belting out.

It was quite chilly and the air was quite damp this morning. I don't think it's gonna rain, but you never know.

This is my 5th day riding this week, so it'll be a clean sweep for commuting by bikefor the first time. I'm knackered! Rest day tomorrow then I'll do something on Sunday, maybe a big hill...

it was pretty chilly yup!

eat more when you commute, you need food to recover! :) I can't say that I feel any more tired than I do on the days I don't cycle/WFH.

Well timed/luck! My shifters don't look much better after my escapades on some ice outside work a couple of months back...! Really should pickup some of those 105 silver covers as that would 'solve' 90% of the damage, but being cosmetic it's not something I've got around to... Although noticed my bar tape is pretty bad, although it's done 4000 miles and 2 winters (and been rewrapped twice) so can't complain with the stuff my Giant came with. I do have some nice Fizik tape to replace it with along as some gel padding to try and reduce my hand aches/fatigue. Love that quote! :D

Looks awesome & perfect place for it! Although I wouldn't get away with that as my conservatory isn't much bigger than your sofa (cream leather? What were you thinking lol). Just be sure your insurance still covers it when stored within the conservatory!
Damn! I'm so paranoid about this happening with my MTB, not helped by cheap roof bars.
THULE! My next car has to have THULE roof bars, no compromises!
I can't say that I feel any more tired than I do on the days I don't cycle/WFH.
You need to push harder! :p

Somebody offered me a Specialised Langster in mint condition with Tektro brakes replace with Shimano for £350. Pretty tempted but the frame size is a 58 which might be slightly too big. Top tube length is longer than my canyon by around 25 mm. Not sure if it will be OK.
