Not a problem :) Will add you back.

How was the eTap?

Good thanks, nice and smooth. No mis-shifts or misaligned clickey noises so it's all setup nicely. It's nice not accidentally mashing the wrong button with full fingered gloves on like I did last week on my di2 bike, although I prefer the more snappy changes of di2

Seeing PRs pop up is definitely nice :D

Was more to do with being 10 mins off the pace overall from last year, the wind, first ride outside and back side of a cold wasn't expecting much. :p

Haha, just had a look and you are just up the road :p Added you on Strava, hope you don't mind, you too madindehead. :)

No problem :)

Definitely plenty of climbs locally to keep us busy :D

Finally off the turbo and outside again for the first time since October

Not far behind where I l eft off with quite a bit of gold and a few PR's too  been shaking a cold recently too so should be a good season of riding.

You need to get a PM on there so you can compare efforts against your turbo power bests ;)

:p soon

Groupset will be done this year at some point so no better time

Strangely sentimental about my battered old boardman :D

Will need to look at frames too. *Sigh*. I think this happened last time, I just couldn't decide, got confused and decided to stick with what I have :p

Don't change for change's sake alone....

Took my boy out on an ride today, but on the mtb, as that's all he has. I had to go slow enough as it was, I'd ruin him on the road bike.

Now I want to get him a road bike so we can go out :p

Dangerous...

Thanks for the replies about the pedals all.

Go back to SPDs...

I would but I often get numb feet whilst riding and a couple of people have mentioned (opinion here I haven't had chance to test it) that it could be because of the SPD style pedals and their small area.

More likely it's your shoes - stiffer soles mean less pain. I've ridden a 200 mile ride with SPDs and no foot pain.

Yup. Lots of people are quite uninformed. You'll get hotspots (which may or may not be the cause of your numb feet) if you have super flexy shoes. Get some that are decently stiff and the hotspots magically go away. People often go from super flexy SPD shoes to much more roady/performance SPD-SLs and then attribute the differences to the cleat rather than the shoe.

I'm not saying SPD-SLs are complete snake oil as there are some key differences but the hotspot one that people come out with a lot is completely wrong.
