Road Cycling

I'll get physio sorted but it's not like I need my bike to be sorted asap or that the insurance is for physio so I'm not sure why I'd rush out to buy lower-spec'd components...

The stuff left over from the current build that still works will prob go on to my old Cotic for a CX build.

I couldn't find a clean short sleeve base layer this morning so opted for a long sleeve jersey with a "roubaix" type lining. Kept me nice and warm! Knowing my luck the sun will come out this afternoon.
The forecast here is for rain at lunchtime until this evening, so I was wearing layers (SS jersey, gilet & warmers) I could tailor to my showerproof jacket, rather than cooking! ;)

Quite tempted by the idea of a roubaix gilet... (Castelli Fawsome Vests for £60 atm)
Yeah think I'm still using them, had used Talkytoaster before but swapped them out to try and diagnose/solve my 810's freezing (made no difference).

I thought one of your major concerns was how much coverage you were going to get for all the damage?

As with anything like this, actually getting the money into your account won't happen until long after things are concluded, mine took 4 weeks after an agreed figure was accepted by the insurers. I'd already had my new bike for 6 weeks before I saw the money!

Being on my cycling hols in Mallorca I finally got round to doing the infamous Sa Calobra descent & climb - gave it a miss earlier in the year and it bit one of my mates so there was a bit of trepidation taking it on this time.

Not helped further by heavy rain as we finished climbing up to Lluc via a load of hairpin bends, seen how slippy wet roads are over here and didn't fancy descending on them if I could help it. Luckily it had dried out for the big descent, just hadn't realised how many hills had to go up to get there.

Nice ride mate, bet you're gutted you are missing the ride captains meeting tonight! Haha! :)

FT don't listen to Roady, di2 all the way. DO IT!

And although it doesn't actually belong in here, I'm going to put it here... today is Weds, so mountain bike day. Do the same climb up St Chrischona every week and this week I managed to not only do the whole route without any stops, but I hit the 14% segment I normally avoid and got up that with no stops too.

Just set in out the saddle and pulled it up. Was well pleased with myself anyway :p

Good job Will Wheaton ;)

I know, I know. But for me it's just all about practicing getting better at climbing and this is a nice one to do, it just happens to be a mtb trail :) and our mate doesn't have a road bike, so we like to make him feel included too.

Sell him one of yours! Parts of that ramp up to 20% according to profile on Strava, now go do it on your road bike! ;)

Got an RMA for my P1's but won't be able to return them until Monday at the earliest to arrive Tuesday with the retailer. Then they'll go back to PowerTap (hopefully a UK service agent and not the USA!) for a review/decision.

Annoyingly I cleaned up the corrosion on the inside of the battery cap to get them working again but do have pictures prior to this. I'm concerned they will just issue replacement caps and check for ingress but they will have been compromised (moisture inside the battery chamber) with a higher risk of failure at a later date, despite appearing to now function perfectly fine.

I also want them back by the 14th October in time for my holiday :p :o

I've only got 2 road bikes! Regret selling the endurace to a mate, but it's got him riding, so I'll take that.

I think I'd hammer it more on the road bike :p I might see how I can get there next week on it.
