It's an M5 bolt but I need one that is shorter than normal... Really vague but I can't find my tape measure. Argh.

Something like this seemed hard to come by on the high street, with the tapered head.

Cutting down a bolt is easier said than done. I do have a dremel but I don't have anything secure enough to hold it whilst I cut it down.

Just came to do my evening ride and the Vortex has a solid amber light on it and it's not connecting to anything. Web says something about a fix using a windows machine/ firmware force which is nice. I'll have to spin up a VM on this macbook. Sigh.

I'll at least use this as an excuse to the mrs about why I ordered the Flux haha

Part screw it into something and Dremel it between the head and the object it's screwed into? You'll need a long bolt so you leave enough of the cut bit behind to get it out though with pliers.

That sucks. Tacx support have already replied to my tickets, even if they've not always been able to provide a solution...

If/when you try it remember to spin a nut onto the bit you want to keep first. That way if you slightly damage the thread when you cut it the nut will re form the thread when you remove it.
