Road Rage.................

i do get wound up by being cut up

but usually find leaning on the horn and a flash of the main beams gets it out of my system, rather than having to resort to any physical violence.

Well it sounds like he did on a purpose, then again the whole thing could be made up.

could have been a badger on the road etc...

I'm sure (if its actually happened) he was in the wrong and has caused an horrific death but we only have one viewpoint/story, otherwise mob justice would see many innocent parties judged unfairly!

either way it won't bring the little girl back :(

WOW, didn't expect that at all. That's very sad

I must admit, i have been tempted to slam the brakes on when some dimwit is up my ass, but it's just not worth the hassle.

Same here. I got cut up 4 times in the space of half a mile yesterday each getting progressively worse. I'm a notoriously firey person, but still managed to control myself by simply leaning on the horn and dropping back shaking my head disbelievingly.

That story above though is pretty dramatic. Really nails home the potential dangers of getting overly worked up.

I get quite annoyed with other sub89ers populating our roads, and its especially bad on the Isle of Wight. I'd never resort to such harsh measures; I usually get it out of my system by dropping some obscenities (although, they can't be heard), beeping the horn to let them know of my displeasure in their actions.

One thing I will do however, is slow down if someone is riding my bumper.

So sad. I have to say I've never been able to understand the mentality of people that get road rage like this. Pure stupidity.

Jesus that's one Hell of a story

Kind of puts everything into perspective doesn't it?

Life can be cut short in a nano second, are all the petty squabbles and falling out really worth it?? shouldn't we all just go back to being friends with on another?? after all, we may be gone tomorrow!!

And if somebody cuts you up, just let it go, or you could be the that man in the car!!

This pretty much sums it up really!

Sad story, only two small issues.

1) Why was she following so closely behind and overtaking I assume at a decent pace to annoy / catch up with the guy with a child in the car
2) Why was she driving above her ability and putting the child's life at risk

I must confess I do that too, ill brake using the gears (brake lights makes your tactics too obvious!) to further add to their angst and should they try and overtake - well thats just not going to happen :p

I'm sure that's killed children up and down the country but I enjoy it, given the enormity of my journeys I need all the enjoyment I can get :)

my small issue was if they hit a tree (presumably ground level?) what was the guy going to jump off?

Doing it quickly (and without brake lights!) is just going to result in them rear-ending you at some point. I'd rather avoid this, and I'd rather they know my "tactics".
