Road to the BNBF Welsh Qualifiers 2011 - Progess Journal

Morning all

So first day yesterday with one less carb meal, and carbs down to 100g. It actually wasn't too bad. Considering I did 2 1 hour cardio sessions and my shoulder workout, I still didn't feel too bad. Now I'm asking myself, is this purely because I'm off work so I'm able to chill out a bit, but either way, not feeling too rubbish yesterday was a welcome surprise.

Also, I slept like a baby, again, maybe not getting stressed at work and just relaxing all day meant my mind wasn't racing. But getting a full 9 hours sleep makes such a difference in the morning

I weighed myself for the first time in nearly a week today...

70.5kg!!! So I'm under the target weight! YAY! 1 and 1/2 weeks early! But that's a good thing. The more room I have to play with to carb up on the last few days the better

Doing my posing practise twice a day also now so maybe that's helping with the weight loss as I'm sweating all that water out.

Don't you worry, I'll be at St Albans, with all the support you've given me and time you've taken to give me advice over the years since posting in this section, as well as putting up with my moaning these last few weeks, the least I can do is go to St Albans :)
 
Feel so ill today :( this extra cardio is seriously hurting my energy levels

This morning was just so tough doing my hours cardio, my chest was hurting from the 5 minute mark. I'm an idiot for carrying on and ignoring that for 55 further minutes but I'm still here so it's all good

Since then its just been a case of sleep or lying down. Doing anything feels like hard work haha. If this is what it's like on 100g carbs, carb depletion next week is going to be very interesting indeed

My nan phoned today as well begging me to let her feed me proper food, as her neighbour said she saw me and I looked very ill, charmin haha. But bless her, I told her to save it for 11 days :)

Superman - relaxed, about 71-72kg :) it's looking like my competition date weight will be around 67kg. So plenty of room for carbs. Rob informed me I'm to eat Haribo fizzy sweets or chocolate raisins before going on stage too. To say I'm excited about that is an understatement

Woke up today feeling surprising energetic...but then....

Last chest and triceps heavy day done today, was tough, not the weight but just getting through the sets with hardly any energy. By the time I'd finished I was out on my feet, and that cardio was the longest session yet in terms of how it felt

Got home and just crashed out on the sofa. Woke up, and it was food time so excited by that I got up a bit too quickly, walked a few steps to the kitchen and just collapsed in a heap. Close call too as I almost hit my head on the counter. I get head rushes really easily these days because of the diet and smetimes I just forget that, and that happens :p

I lay there for about 10 minutes. Partly because getting up felt like a task haha and partly because I was just so chilled out. Looking forward to getting tomorrow out the way so it's just cardio on Saturday/Sunday. Then peak week next week yay :) will be chatting to Rob about diet and workout plans on Sunday so then it's the last push
 
About to do my shopping for peak week

It consists of an exciting mix of ingredients, a chefs delight, if I was on Ready Steady Cook, and unveiled this as my bag of goodies, the crowd would cheer in delight

Asparagus
Spinach
Chewable Vitamin C tablets
Turkey

And that's it. That's my food for the week

Last two days of doing two hours of cardio as well this weekend. So I'm excited. And after Tuesday, I get my mornings back, no more AM cardio yay so I'm even more excited about that

Feeling good today, weighed myself and I'm 69.8kg. I never ever thought I could be this light :eek: and this is drinking 10-12 litres of water a day and 100g carbs so next week it will drop with water weight going
 
Got the plans for next week sorted now, I feel so much better, a, because I know what's going on and b, because it's not too bad. Especially as I no longer have to do AM cardio, just the 1 session a day after workouts. So I get my mornings back YAY

My diet is as expected, my only carbs meal is oats in the morning with 5 eggs (5 whites, 2 yolks). Can't wait to have eggs again. And apart from that, it's just turkey and salad or White fish and salad. So about 25-30g carbs a day and that's it. No more shakes either

Water increases throughout the week until the Saturday before, when I stop water intake altogether about 4pm that day.

And there's a few secret weapons in there, that he might not want me to discuss as he did say secret, but I'm excited :D

Unfortunately Robs decided we're not going to have that much of a carb up, might be a risk, might not. But he's playing it safe as it's my first show and he doesn't want me to come in looking full but watery and bloated. So I may be a tad bit flat but that's better than looking soft.
 
Yay it's peak week!!!

Just had my nicest breakfast for 20 weeks! 5 eggs, 40g oats and some black coffee, was so good. And getting up at 7:30am instead of 6am like I have for the last 8 weeks was soooo good

Man I feel good this morning

Going well mate

Seeing changes every day as more and more lines come in, especially my legs. Weight isn't going down but then with the amount of water I'm drinking it's not surprising

Really enjoying my food too, spinach is so good, especially when you've had nothing but rice every day lol. And eggs in the morning are just heaven

Last cardio day today, then it's one more workout tomorrow, then that's it, done until the big day

MonKeE, still waiting to hear back from the girlfriend about the hotel name. Will let you know ASAP. I'll be out trying to find somewhere to watch the Haye fight if you did want to meet up :)
 
Just had a bowl of oats, cut up a banana and put it on top, and then sprinkled over a scoop of chocolate whey. It was heaven!!! Almost like eating a normal breakfast again! Infact I may even continue that breakfast after the show
