:(

Had my mum round for tea tonight, we left her house (2mins away) at 4.30pm, she got back to her home at 7pm to a wide open back door.

Downstairs hadn't been touched, upstairs was turned upside down.

Lots of things stolen, mainly wrapped/unwrapped xmas presents, including a Wii Black & Wii Fit that was being kept at my mums to hide from my partner :(

We all feel absolutely gutted and violated to a degree, its horrible knowing someones been in your home, sifting through your things.

Police have been round and forensics are coming tomorrow, losses can be claimed off insurance but still, feels like a little bit of xmas has been ruined before its begun :(

One more.. :(

Actually, make it two.. :(:(

Ahh man. That surely sucks, I hope that you can pull that Christmas spirit from somewhere irregardless of hoe you feel now

That sux! Thefts always seem to be higher around Christmas time, guess they know there is lots of easy to pick up and take electrics.

Hope you still manage to have a good Christmas!!

Gutted for you :( .

Having been a victim myself, I know how you feel. In my case the *** DO NOT PARTIALLY STAR SWEARIES! *** broke in while we were asleep upstairs. Came down in the morning and the place was trashed. Hard to describe to anyone how violated one feels knowing some **** went through and swiped your stuff whilst you were mere meters away.

probably just to fuel some low life's drug habit :(

Must be awful this time of year, sorry to hear it m8

It happens a lot around my area at xmas, they do just run straight upstairs and start going though cupboards etc. Scum bags tbh.

Hope everything gets sorted so your christmas is salvaged, gutted for you.

Probably watching the house, waiting for you to depart.
Is the visit thing a common affair, happens regularly?
Wouldn't be surprised if someone in your area has noted that knew she'd be out for a while, and went straight in the minute you guys left.

Truely gutting being robbed in this way, and no doubt the perp will get away with it, unless they've already been caught for a similar offence.
Awful at Christmas time, sympathies to you.

Forensics? Didn't think they used them anymore for burglaries.

Probably won't make a difference anyway.

They left behind 2x LCD TV's, a Wii (plugged in) and loads of other stuff that is worth X ammount, probably too bulky to carry.

Its not so much that the stuff has gone, it can (and will) be replaced, but some scum out there has taken a familys gifts and personal possesions for personal gain, just so wrong

If the house isn't alarmed and secure, you'd better get it done quickly as there's a good chance they'll be back if they left that lot.
