Robert Jordan’s fantasy epic The Wheel of Time coming to TV

Excited
Still listening to book 1 again. They are some weighty books and take some time to listed to.
Have a few more to buy from audible (think I have upto 10 in my library) but at my current listening rate its going to be years before I get through them all again
I started listening to them again when the last series came out just driving to and from work. I think it took me 6 months to get through them all. I was impressed by the narration of the books to be honest

Looking forward to watching it. Be interesting to see what they do with Matt. There is plenty of scope in the storyline to explain why he looks so different etc.

Having only recently re read the books, not sure I recognise much in that trailer!!!!!!!!
I assume the dark haired women with rand is 'selene', looks like some seanchan and sul'dam/damane in there, Egwene now looks like shes a master swordsman. Appears they are finally getting round to Perrin and Elyas/the wolves. Looks like more of the same from S1, cheap, clean, bad acting and source material be damned.

Yeah i spotted the Seanchan and Sul'dam but couldnt work out who the dark haired woman was meant to be but you may be right but way too early for her? Laughed at the master swordsman clip, next she will be getting a heron blade.................No idea who the lesbian love kiss is between.

Trailer had too many dark segments at the start couldn't really work out what was going on. I can't say it enthuses me, I found season 1 fairly disappointing I'm not convinced it's going to get any better.

Started the season 1 rewatch. I forgot how strong the start of the show is, two episodes in and it's very enjoyable. I know the Perrin change got a lot of stick, but it makes complete sense for a TV show. Viewers are going to be more understanding with his reluctants to pick up the axe because of his wife, compared to some unknown white coat. I can remember I wasn't a fan of the Moiraine season ending, will see how it is on the rewatch.

His hesitancy with using an axe is nothing to do with 'some unknown white cloaks' though  it's more about what an axe symbolises - the change with giving him a family added nothing to his character, it was a pointless change in a sea of pointless changes.
