Where's Dave2150 to spin this into a good thing?
Not sure why Intel bothered releasing this, they should have just brought Alder Lake forward if at all possible, instead.

No point, it’s too GPU bound at 4K.it would be a few tiny frames each way.People still play in 1080p?
I would have liked to see UHD gaming scores.

If it’s 1-2 years old, you’ll get at least 5-6 years out of it gaming at 4K imo.So with my 3090 I won't need to update my cpu for years to come![]()

But... but... but.. the 11900K is gonna be amazing, so much better than the 11700K.

I got 8 good years out of a 2500K
Some people aren't going to react very well to this news!

It's looking pretty meh in terms of performance and the thermals are terrible. I agree, makes you wonder why they even released it when the improvements are so mediocre.
100%. That CPU will game excellently for the very minimum of another 5 years imo.9700K @5.2
I can put the saved money towards a 4090![]()

As long as your GPU utilisation is around 97-100%, and CPU utilisation is lower, then that’s a pretty good sign problem is your GPU. There are anomalies though. CP2077 for example has very high CPU usage for some, but it’s still the card that is really dictating performance.
