As for the game, I am not sure it is a game at the moment as I am doing the lesson, and REALLY challenging. The rifts that it gets you do before you can move on is both frustrating but useful at the same time. 3 stages in each lesson and I hate it when I am passed the 2nd one and can't hack the 3rd one, you don't want to quit and try again later because you got to do the first 2 again....so end up sitting there practicing the same rift over and over until you get it right.

Gets me practicing I suppose. Took me an hour to get through 1 lesson tonight. A real sense of achievement now that I've done it. Hopefully a session like that every day for the next 2 months I would be at least half competent.

Hehe, riffs, not rifts (as above) :)
I have this on PC, so maybe it's not on the console version, but you can skip to any part of a lesson, so easy to go back and just try the 3rd session if required.

I haven't figure out how to quit and rejoin the lesson where I left off. Actually this way it forces me to practice until I get it right. I spent 90mins last night just to get this one riff down. At the start I was like, NO WAY I could do that but it eventually clicked and I got through it.
 
http://customsforge.com/ worth getting the DLC from here, you'll need the patch which you can get on smithyanvil.. ive not played it in ages but was reading about ways to make the best of learning and they seem to think putting the difficulty to 100% and slowing the songs down. ive been doing this and am progressing much quicker.
with all the extra songs (i have over 100 extra ) has kept me intriqued. there's songs added daily onto http://search.customsforge.com/index.php
 
Just a heads up for anyone who's interested and missed the fact that PS4 and Xbone versions are due to land at the start of November.

I've been waiting for it since I gave me dad my PS3 and am going to go for the digital download if it's cheap enough as I already have the cable.
