Are there any lag issues in this game?

Also how accurate is the in-game tuner?

Haven't noticed any lag myself, at all -- but the game does allow you to configure delay etc. to get around it if it happens.

The tuner is very good, though I haven't used it outright for anything than getting to standard "E" tuning.

As Mr. E. mentions, you do have to confirm your tuning before every song by strumming each string in turn which gets a bit tiresome but obviously has a point behind it.

I've also had no experience with lag, but I'm using optical output into my Receiver which is the recommended setup. I believe the in-game lag adjustment is purely for the video, and not for the audio.

The tuner is very accurate, and its understandable that you need to confirm the tuning regularly. My guitar has a Floyd Rose, so it doesn't tend to go out of tune. The downside is that its going to a bitch to drop tune it. I've rather carefully not mentioned to my wife that its possible to add a pickup to any of my acoustics, and have gained acceptance, rather than approval, that I may buy a fixed bridge electric to make drop tuning easier.

NO NO NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Totally raging right now. First night I had the game I noticed it wasn't too happy if I whacked the guitar volume up full, introducing a hum/distorted sound that messed with the input. Now, after one song tonight it's totally given up... turning the volume up even slightly causes it, so I can't even complete one of the drop-D tunings because it's so messed up.

Hooked the guitar up with a different cable to my Pocket POD and it's the same. Had a quick look at the electrics and can't see any loose wires or anything. Absolutely typical of a day in my life. So. Much. Rage.

I've got Gold every Technique except the Harmonics, has anyone done it?

It's doing my head in!

Im experiencing audio lag but I am using HDMI straight to the TV which the instructions say is the worst way to play it lol. Tho its out for PC on october 18th so will probably buy the game on steam as the cable is cross platform.

Game itself is great tho have been watching and waiting for it since early last year. Not dissapointed in the slightest.

Hopefully they keep the new songs rolling out :)

The first UK DLC came out on tuesday, same time as the states. Just need them to give us all the stuff already released.

Saying that, I hadn't heard of any of the bands; Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, The Shins, and Gary Clark Jr.

On a more positive note, I'm completely stuck with the journey mode now only providing me drop-tuned options. This is such a shame as I've had to buy another guitar. Ibanez ART300 is on its way. I'm all kinds of giddy.

hehe im lucky I have my schecter synyster gates custom that I use for standard tune as its a floyd rose, and my custom built strat that my dad made that I use for drop tuning :)

Would hate to have to retune the schecter all the time

Does anyone else not find this game fun? I know its meant to be more realstic, but it is a game, and I much prefer Rock Band for this kind of thing, doesn't seem to work with a real guitar fun wise :s

And prefer to play guitar just by mucking about with some songs and a tab sheet

Just got this, loving it. Very cool, and progressive. As a guitar player I'm a beginner really. I can play a few songs, know a handful of chords and this works very well for me.

Had the audio lag problem as I use hdmi to the telly and then RCA from the telly to the amp. One modified bundled cable later, all sorted. :)

Its not meant to be fun !! You are meant to play non stop until you have blisters on your figures :D :p

I'm enjoying it gets me learning a few rifts and my muscle memory is getting better. The only thing that annoys me is when you are mid song or so, and you screw up a few notes the upcoming notes then rapidly change to make it easier which can completely screw you up more as you position your hand to say play a chord and instead it changes it to one note in a different place :(

I think the fun factor comes into if you actually enjoying/want to learn/play guitar. If you just want a game then why would you buy this

Ah, now had a chance to see what you mean. Got silver on my second go, and thought that this was going to be easy. Can't get anywhere near now.

Supplier cancelled my order for the ART300, apparently list as a mistake. Gutted. Back to searching for something bargainness, though may have to bite the bullet and skip the secondhand market.

New shiny toy has arrived.

Took a little adjustment to stop the frets buzzing, but I'm very impressed with it. More importantly its easy to drop tune, so I've finally made some progress on the journey mode.

The enforced break appears to have done some good. Spent a fair amount of time with the mini games, and it appears the colours used for the strings are now beginning to make sense. Playing this afternoon there was some semblance of sight reading, which definely makes the game a lot easier. Its also finally unlocked the Scale Runner mini game, which I've been looking forward to as I really like practising scales (sad? most definitely)

Celebrated by purchasing the newly released classic rock pack.

I'm just annoyed that the classic rock pack is an amalgamation of various packs that the US already has. Fair few tracks in there that I don't want, but you can't get them separately. Have to buy some points now! Still, my Live needs renewing so might as well.

Also, Shechter Hellraiser coming my way courtesy of the awesome wife. Wohoooooo!

Bought this for PC a few days ago. Originally I never considered buying it because I knew the interface lag would be terrible (as it is with these things.) However I stumbled across it again online and after reading many reviews and watching lots of videos, I concluded that the lag didn't seem to be that big a thing and so I took the plunge and bought it.

And so I instantly find the input-lag is just terrible and after about 20 minutes of playing (part of which was me searching online for ways of reducing it) I regretted buying it. Not having a direct connection between my fingers and ear is weird and confuses me if I continue to play because the notes are delayed while my playing is far ahead.

I wanted to like it, but I just can't get over it :(
