My brother is loving this, he's been playing guitar for years so its pretty easy for him. But what he's loving is the fact he's learning songs he never knew and having fun doing it :D

Have you have the option to view tabs rather than the guitar view too, which is good.

WHERE IS THE TAB OPTION?!?!?!?

Please let me know! The wife mentioned that she saw it tell her at one point that you can switch it to tab rather than the standard scrolling view, which occasionally melts my head when it comes to some chords etc., but I've been completely unable to find it.

If it's actually in there, I owe you a cookie.


EDIT: Aaaah, wait, I get it. It's just tab layout for the strings; inverted from what the game does as standard. I'll give that a try, though it's trying to attribute the bloody colours to the strings on the fly that just throws me sometimes on the easiest stuff.

My copy arrived today, didn't even realise this game existed until I saw the trailer for the 2014 edition.

Think I've spent more time playing my guitar today then I have in the last 6 months, my wrist is killing me! :o

Can't get the hand of palm mutes though, is it because I'm sitting down? No idea where my guitar strap is.
 
Palm mutes should register no matter how you hold the guitar.

However, when playing palm mutes in songs, the game doesn't care if you play it properly or not: it will still count as a hit note.

Just remember to close the curtains once you find your strap! I bought a gel one my as shoulder was getting sore :D
 
Hit a brick wall, stuck on Nirvana - In Bloom.
Frets all over the place then it throws in bloody chords :eek:
In a moment of pity, it asked if I wanted to lower the qualifying score, not bloody likely :mad:
